| Quote Manface5000="Manface5000"Bit harsh to single out Turner, yes he played well against them 3 teams & crap against Leeds, but the full team was rubbish on Friday. I'd leave him there till the end of the season, what harm can it do since our league seasons just about over anyway. Constantly changing his position will do nothing for him at all.'"
Just dont rate him at all....not a very good signing and we play him centre when he was playing 13 for Salford.....if our season is just about over...why dont we play Crooks then out of the u-20@s

| How the hell can anyone miss Gleeson? We should never have signed him and ive said this since there was a possibility of it. He had one good game then a few hit n miss then gone.
Anyway thats by the by as its the whole structure of the team that leaves us poor on the right side. You could swap Manu, Yeaman and Briscoe to that side and it would still be the same.

i agree with you there mate cant stand some of our fans to quick to jump on a players back imo turner has been one of the better players over the last few weeks hes really taking that centre spot well. what we need is a decent winger and to get reece lyne in championship for a year he scores for fun in under 20's but needs a run in championship to get him ready people slate him to much wen he plays also and hes only 18 got bags of potential but not ready yet unfortunatly
but what big winger is they whos up for grabs???

| Whiting IMO was at fault (or at least partly) for 2 trys on Friday and also one last week against Salford, if Sharp had done the same there would have been a 10 page thread about him on here.
Whiting is too slow to defend against a winger as quick as Hall or Broughton, even though I haven't too much faith in Sharp I would be tempted to bring him back next week and have Whiting on the bench in place of Washbrook and Dowes in place of Lauaki.

I agree with most of that and said pretty much the same on Friday night. He got stood up against Salford with a simply step by Broughton and was too slow to react again on Friday. Any winger with any pace will always have the upper hand on him.
Like you say Sharp would have been crucified.

Are you suggesting that not all players are dealt with the same on here?
How very dare you.

| The main problem is the system we play. We have our edge players cramming in and leaving the opposition winger free, with the intention of sliding out once the ball has been passed down the line. Some teams go man for man, for example Wigan. The system we play will mean that we will get caught out time after time with a long miss pass on our right hand side. Most teams prefer to attack down their left side, largely due to right handed players being better passers to this side.

| In Whitings defence (pardon the pun) look what happened away at Saints when afer a re-shuffle he was in the middle of the park. The final try of the night (one of our best trys of the season) was the kind of try that FC simply don't score - all single handedly created by RW.
Why on earth he's not given more of a go in the middle is still a mystery to me. Instead revert back to Plan B, aka D.Washbrook. Even Cullen hit the nail on head in commentary the other night in his bafflement over that switch.
