I think he was meaning even Richards is rated higher than Briscoe and Richards wasn't even a big name back in Aus.

To be fair I think it just popped out in the excitement of his hat-trick try and he almost immediately started to backtrack from it. Just a harmless piece of hyperbole in the heat of the moment.

No he didn't, his implication was that richards was the best out of those he listed

I think its a bit of a bold statement calling him one of the best in the world but hes certainly one of the best wingers in superleague and i wouldnt swap the kid for anyone else...excellent player who can only get better for me.

Briscoe's a good un, but specs don't come any more tinted than that

Tom Briscoe is a superb player, and arguably the best in Super League, but you have to take into consideration who the SOO players are playing against too. If any of them were to come over here I think its safe to say they would have a huge impact.

And visa versa...i think tom would be a star in the nrl.
