Cookey says that Agar is 'one of the best coaches he ever played under'. Bizarre really since he only played under him when he was the assistant coach. I also don't buy all this stuff about the board not backing him. He brought in the likes of O'Meley, Long, Fitzgibbon, Gleeson and was also allowed to pay transfer fees for Westerman, Obst and Tansey. Ask Peter Sharp if he had that kind of backing and four years to try and get the job done!

| He also said he never got the backing from the fans!!! We backed him to the hilt for at least 2 and a half seasons, then it was obvious he just was'nt up to the job. Think he is just having a dig and I don't think he likes us finally getting our house in order. To$$er!!  |

Ok, lets get this right, our inept CEO fails to get the key play maker to sign a contract allowing his to walk out and join our bitter rivals for whom he then shines on a monotenous basis against us. And its THEM that look foolish????
BTW, its closer to £300k rather than £500k  |

Lets put it this way,if "Agar" was a show on Broadway,and the paying public didn`t go to watch it,then it would soon close down.No difference us paying to be entertained at a show or a rugby game. |
