On the 6 weeks up to yesterday (and therefore current form) we were not crap at all.
If you choose not to go, fair enough. It basically means your opinion is virtually worthless

| Agreed.
What more do people want than an unbeaten run ?
Someone was on here recently stating that the South stand was the nearest we now have to Threepennies. Well, I don't remember Threepennies being half empty due to the part-time supporters staying at home !!
And as for Huddersfield - their turnout was pathetic.

| The fact that the game was on a Sunday is not imo a factor in the crowd being down. Lets face it cowds are down period, this season. Do we maybe look to playing on Tuesday afternoon insted?
Its simply a case that the faithful are picking and choosing matches now. The sooner the club realise that we are not buying into the team 100% at the moment the better. We are at best the 7th best team in the competition, yet we are top 3 off the field. As a result if its on Sky the floating spectator will stay away.
I thought it was also interesting that the club were promoting the club shop massively prior to the game. Handouts etc. Is the shops takings down? I suspect it is. Yet despite all that promotion the shop was shut at the final whistle with people queing to get in. Lost sales there as well I am sure.
Until we get consistant form on the pitch which is in the positive not negative then the crowds will be down regardless of the day of the week. Lets face it even the derby crowd was down copared to last season when it was played on a Thursday night. Does that make Thursday's the prefared game day?
I went yesterday with a bit of restored faith after the current run. I have now noticed that unless we get to Wembley thats me done for the year. Don't do away games anymore as its too far and expensive to go for me (other than Quins) and I can't make Friday nights and the one Sunday league match we have I am working and refuse to alter my working pattern for Hull FC anymore. The Leeds cc game is on TV and guess what........my licence fee has paid for my viewing.
Before anyone has a go,If saving cash and lower my blood pressure makes me a non supporter then I am happy with that. I have dedicated enough of my time to the club to feel happy that I have done my bit. But until my ambition is matched by the coaches and the BOD then I won't be going the extra mile and at least 3000 others are thinking the same.

| Making the East Stand fully reserved has clearly had an effect. Something had to be done with regards the north east corner but the club have used a slegehammer to crack a nut.

Has it though? Or is that just an excuse which can be brought out. The main effect on attendances is the dross on the pitch. Simple as. And a 5 game unbeaten run is not going to mask the disappointment of the previous 3 years. Its very hard to build a following, but very easy to lose it and the club have lost 3000 faithful this season. With it also the off field merchandise. In my household alone they have lost a few hundred in admission fees, three replica kits and T shirts. Having reserved seating is a very very small factor if a factor at all.

Well we've been pretty poor in the main for four seasons now. In 2009 we lost 8 from 13 at home but the average was 13,226 only slightly down on the previous season.
Clearly the cumulative effect of year on year poor form has contributed to the fall in attendances but I still feel making the full East Stand reserved hit season ticket sales which of course means those people have a reason to pick and choose games.

| Yesterday summed up the last couple of seasons for me. We're not getting hammered, because the individual commitments of the forwards mean we're generally in the arm-wrestle. It all goes t!ts up in attack, though, because when we lose key personnel we don't have a system to fall back on that people can slot into. IMO Agar is safe to see his contract out so the lack of killer instinct that is instilled by the likes of Smith, Brown and Maguire will mean another season of targetting 8th and praying for a lucky cup draw. Some people (I'm probably one of them) will continue to go as it's their abiding passion in life. For others, 8th is not a cause for celebration and not enough to part with £25 every fortnight, particularly given the PR machine touting us as a top club, when clearly we're not, on the pitch at least.
The club needs to pay attention to this. They clearly believe Agar is the man to take us to silverware, and that when that day comes, the KC will see 16000 fans in every week. The flaw in this plan is that every season that goes by with unfulfilled potential means floating fans are lost and find alternative things to do with their weekends. Also anyone believing a team can win the competition from 8th needs serious help. Which leaves us with the cup, where we've not beaten a SL team for 3 seasons. Crikey, bit depressing, isn't it?
