You have a quota spot, so don't need MacKinnon's British passport, but you'd need to clear a non-fed place for him.

Obst is Non Fed and O'meley and Fitz are good but they shouldn't count twice.

Obst was in SL before the non-fed rule came in to force and so is exempt. MO and CF only count once - but on each of the two lists. The one thing fans of SL can be grateful to Mason for is for clarifying that the two lists operate independently.

You're asking why O'Meley and Fitzgibbon are classed as [unon[/u-fed trained?

Yes because the non fed list includes players that wouldnt used to count as quota (Kolpak, EU passport, Residency) then the quota list is for full blown players with no way round it.

Going by what you are saying how would a Tongan (kolpak) passport for Mason allow both him and Dobson to be on the quota if he counted on both. Also you missed Manu off the "Non-Fed" list of FC players.

Residency doesn't count on the list.

Aussies and Kiwis count as both quota [iand[/i non-fed trained. They appear on both lists, which is fair enough imo.

Quota players count on BOTH lists. If Mason got a Tongan passport that would remove him from the Quota list but he'd still take up a spot on the Non-Fed list. Dobson would still occupy a spot on both lists.

It helps if you think of the lists as Quota=No EU passport (or equivalent) and Non-Fed=Overseas Trained. So Fitz (for example) has an Australian passport and was trained there so is on BOTH lists. If he got an EU passport he'd come off one list but stay on the other.
