I appreciate that levels of cynicism are at a record high, but I'm not sure what everyone's problem with that blog piece is. Reads like it was written by a fan to me, and while a lot won't agree with the sentiment there are plenty who post on here who would.

Plus anyone who is expecting a highly critical piece to be published on the club's own website is living in la la land.

So the banner maker won't be getting a blog?

Indeed. Which makes the whole exercise kind of pointless, as it's not the 'view from the terraces' at all.

Not sure about that TBH. You get all shades of opinion and it wouldn't be that difficult to find a fan with a media-friendly attitude. Especially given the bit about how old he is and how long he's been following the club. We've had examples right here on the forum. Seems more likely than making someone up when that info would be bound to leak sooner or later.


I agree. I've never been a fan of gimmicky stuff like that TBH, regardless of where it's been used. I only really visit the official site for FCTV, and I haven't seen anything on the new site that's likely to change that pattern.

Looks better than the old Hull site (and the current Rovers one). One thing that does annoy me though is that both Hull and Rovers go out of town for the majority of their design work. There are more design agencies in Hull per capita than anywhere else in the UK and while a lot of them are small fry pretenders there are some quality studios putting out great work (I should know, I work at one). It's disappointing that 2 clubs that put so much emphasis on the local community and getting support from local businesses don't return the favour when it comes to them spending their own money.

Probably a selfish rant, I'd love to do work for either Hull or Rovers.

We'll have to differ on that. It reads like an outright piece of club propaganda to me. If the guy [iis[/i a real person, it looks like he's been given a fairly narrow brief about what his piece should include.

I've just watched the u20's v hudds, a very good program.

Hopefully this will carry on for the full season.
