| Quote Sheldon="Sheldon"Of course they do, we release carefully edited press releases all the time praisning Agar through players.
Players out of position? Glen Johnson-left wing back.
Dalgish didn't get them very motivated in the 3-1 defeat to bottom club West Ham.'"
I am a liverpool fan, and there is a noticable difference to how they have been playing recently, they had the chances to score and were only stopped by good goal keeping, the same happens in rugby sometimes, when you create a lot and goal line defence stops you, if you have played well and are beaten by a better team on the day you accept it, what you don't accept is watching the same drivvel every week and being told afterwards the effort was there if there is no tactical changes and the interchanges are still mind boggling to say the least!!
Yes he playing one player out of position but Agar is playing who knows how many, and Johnson looks motivated and happy to be playing under a coach who is motivating him whereas our players don't!!

| Sports more tactical nowadays, Motivation is important of course but tactics and interchangers are paramount.
Dalglish will be found out as the new coach feeling only lasts so long.

You may be right, and i wasn't one saying that he was the way forwards, however the point is he has a personallity, he's played the game at the highest level, the players are reacting to him and are playing for each other and re more motivated, where as Agar is the exact opposite of all of that, just my opinion of course!

Pure talent Again something Agar doesn't have!! And he also recognised he wouldn't make it as a player and knew that he had talent for coaching and also learned from the best in Sir Bobby!! Agar was under study to Kear and Sharp

| Agar, imo, is not a very good tactician.
The excuse that he isn't up to it because he hasn't played at the highest level and isn't good with the media (look at Wayne Bennett) is pointless and just a attack on his personality.

I haven't said anything about his personality as such, i don't know him personally but i'm led to believe as a person he is a nice bloke, however, his motivational skills are lacking or so it would appear and i never said he wasn't up to it because of that, he's just not good enough, my point was that kenny has been there and done it, both as a player and as a coach, he won everything before he left liverpool and that he can pass on his experience to his players and possibly inspire them to do better, Agar can't do this as he hasn't done it as a player and his coaching stats speak for themselves, and before you mention the special one again his coaching stats and not playing stats also speak for themselves and can inspire people by what he has won as a coach, at not one, not two but three seperate clubs!

| So how did he get the chance to inspire his players as a coach when've first started? What about Michael Maguire? Not a very good playing record and has never been head coach before.

Again i aren't slating Agar as a person, and everyone needs to be given a chance to start somewhere, and at the time, i was fully prepared to give him a chance to prove his worth, even when he wasn't doing well, to give him time to get rid of players he didn't want and bring in those he did, he has now done this and still hasn't done anything, and not just this season and that's the point, Wigan have taken a chance but look what he has done! If agar had done that we wouldn't be having this conversation would we

| All I'm saying is a coach with a personality, or what level they've played at is irrelevant.
They have to be a good tactician first.
Agar doesn't seem to be one but the other factors are just a way for people to slag him off.

I agree, he is not a good tactician his selectionis and rotations show that! And as i have said i aren't slagging him as a person, but as a coach he is out of his depth, again just my opinion, but you could be the best tactician and unless you have the personality to communucate those tactics and motivate players it still not going to happen, that was the point i was making with kenny, he clealry is motivating them, but also has a good tactical awareness andis willing to bring in others such as steve clarke to also inject other ideas into the training, not sure if that is happening at Fc, and how much input the assistants coaches have been allowed into the teams tactics and set up etc
