I have always rated him, but I admit because he is from our club I am biased



I rate Kris Welham because he is also from our club, he also had a good game

Welham must be good if he's keeping the future international centre Craig Hall out the team!

Though I can't say I see it myself.

Not a huge Turner fan but he did okay yesterday.

I posted yesterday on Turners 'inability to think on his feet': He's a running centre at best and never an off half in a month of Friday nights.

Definitely not good enough to dominate a game or turn one on his own ability for that matter.

His best position would be loose forward but we've just spent 150 grand on one

IMO Jordan Turner played well at outside half for the first 20 mins. In fact, we were much more direct (and creative) than we were all of last season. What happened afterwards I will have to check out on Sky+ but it seemed that with the mounting penalties we were forced onto the back foot and not able to play expansive. go forward rugby. For the record, Jordan Turner played much of his junior RL at outside half so he should know what he's doing, and he should be there again on Friday night against Leeds.

On another player, I thought that Westerman lacked confidence in those around him. Perhaps it was his first proper game for Hull FC but he needs to play with the ball in his hands and orchestrate moves, not support them.

As I mentioned earlier, the coaching team apparently see him playing second row this season as he 'still has a lot to learn'. If they were talking about his one-on-one defence I'd tend to agree.
