Our training facilites are a joke considering we have no stadium that we actually own its about time we had our training facilties instead of a day at ionains,day at boulevard,day fitness first,day university a club of our size should have there own training facilties by now instead of talking about it its time they delivered. We have the most inexperienced coaching duo's in agar,webster in super league and are our youngsters actually as good as we think compared to leeds,saints,wigan. Imo we are now behind wire,huddersfield,hkr who all have more ambition than we have and think it will be a long time before were challenging for honours again. Were been taken for granted and sold short when we deserve so much better for the way we back the club think this season may well be the one that breaks the camel back for a lot of fans'"

To be fair if the club were still at the Boulevard we would probably average around 6k a game, the club is in an enviable position of having the best facilities in the game stadiumwise so there is some logic behind what The Brother is saying, we should have everything else in place off the park regarding their own player facilities instead of commuting around all over East Yorkshire what seems to be cap in hand. The club had long enough to get the Boulevard upto scratch for what facilities they needed but signing off that elusive cheque to go towards any available grant funding never materialised. I couldnt help but be impressed when they focused on Wigan's facilities on SKY the other night. Hull FC do an excellent job in using the stadium facilities itself to their advantage but thats it, take the stadium away and would SL really want 2 clubs from Hull in the league? I even think that KR have beneffited from the stadium, not by playing there obviously but by the way the stadium itself has helped raise the profile of FC and the game itself in the city.

I agree with both things wormy.
We should be doing better as a club, I think the brother has got it right. But.....Rovers ain't all that as much as they love themselves so much. We ain't that bad and capable of competing with them. But, we should have kicked on, we should be doing better than we are. Certain things should have been put in place, and we should have a regular training ground for sure.
As regards Sunday, my post stands. Had a few beers, and was sick and tired of listening to moronic diatribe. Felt like venting so I did!. If I hadn't used a couple of words that I did, it would have been OK! |

I don't know the bother personally, but I know who he is. I know also that he has been going through thick and thin and supports the club. He wants them to succeed. He just sees what is wrong. As do many people.
He is right in this in my opinion.
It is so easy to blast people as being negative, but you cannot look at the world through rose tinted specs, cos life is not like that. He has a point, like it or not.
