| Quote: FC Guvnor "I've followed boxing for a few years and for what it's worth, we have a pumped up Cruiserweight versus a nearly 40 year old washed up never has been, which for me shows us what a poor division the heavyweight scene is now. Harrison has never fought anybody of any calibre, he's been beaten by some seriously poor fighters and even managed to get beat in the first ever prizefighter tournement before winning the latest one. Haye is gonna be what 3 or 4 stone lighter than Harrison and unless Audley manages to catch him with a big one early on, I think Haye will finish him off between rounds 7 or 10. Haye is a good fighter, been stooped once by another English kid whose name I can't remember, but by and large has that bit of class that has pulled him through some sticky moments. Plus he gave Valuev a boxing lesson. I just hope that after the fight Haye can manage to get a fight against one of the Klitschos, cos that is the only fight left that matters at the moment.'"
I thought Haye dodged a fight against one of the Klitshco Brothers?

He says they dodge him, they say he dodges them. As always it's about money and who get's the bigger purse. To go down as a great of this era though two of them need to fight each other and if Haye is true to his word he's only got 2 fights left to do it in.

I rate Haye, but he needs to take a Klitshco fight - and win, to get the acclaim he thinks he warrants. I agree with you, though. There is a real shortage of class at Heavyweight now.

It was Carl Thomson who beat Haye that night, Haye's fitness was a joke at the time!
I think Haye has all the skills and has the power to beat anyone in the division, just needs to get in the ring with the two Russians and prove it.

He'll have a better chance if he takes them on one at a time IMO.

I agree though the Heavyweight division is as poor now as it ever has been.
When you have someone like Tony Thompson in the 10 ten rankings, you know there are serious problems. You have to go back 15-20 years to find a half decent top 10 and even then you still had George Foreman beating blokes.
No longer the blue riband division.'"
Maybe but don't think he has been beaten in quite a while. His conditioning would be top notch and would obviously need a bit of punching practice but the power is there and he looks like a proper animal.

That's pretty much what I was trying to say but you've put it better than I did. Harrison's career has been one of huge dissapointment, losing to Danny Williams sums him up and add Martin Rogan to that list and it shows how poor he's been. Having said that you can only beat what's in front of you and he has done. I can't see him getting near Haye and it needs to be comfortable for Haye if he's to get a shot and Vitali or Waldimir Klitschko.

Lost to Carl Thompson back in 2004 but bounced back brilliantly. In recent years he's gone and beat Jean-Marc Mormeck, Enzo Maccerinelli, Monte Barratt, John Ruiz and of course that superb performance against Valuev, that's an impressive record across two divisions. Saying Haye's useless like GG did is just plain stupid, I'm a big Haye fan and looking forward to seeing him tomorrow night.

Bloody hell yeah Carl Thompson and he must have been near 40 when he beat Haye, as you say though at the time he wasn't as focused on training as he should have been.

He is, good number of boo's as he comes out. They won't bother him though, he looks calm so far.
