Especially when it is rumoured that they intend to close Endeavour which has only been open a few years and replace it with this new Academy.

WE SHOULD ALL NEVER FORGET that it was the Council in the first place that suggested the Boulevard to the club, since when the club have invested in a project manager, feasibility studies etc. all whilst the Council sat back knowing that this change was a foot.


We have been shafted here by the Council, who have no guarantees that the money for a school will be forthcoming anyway. It would have been great to watch the Under 21's down there but as they have now announced the place is to be bulldozed and the Threepennies demolished it defeats the object anyway. THis stinks almost as much as Minns telling the NHS in tonights paper what it would be best spending its money on. At the end of the day we are better getting out and looking at alternatives! Whilst the folks of the Boulevard area can look forward to a few more years of a derilict site!

Council in breaking promises shocker!!

i'm a land surveyor and i could do a pretty good survey of the site without having to knock down anything, in fact it would be a better initial approach as more options can be kept open regarding redevelopment

Indeed, what is reall needed is a feasability study, not a "survey", costing the options, then approaching central government for an indication of the availability of funds, before anything is knocked down.

The council already have a number of surveyors working for them who have all carried out surveys etc in the past. I'm pretty sure they know what the site can and cannot be used for, it just depends politically how it suits the relevant people at the top for me.

Surely the only things they can knock down is the threpenny stand and the old hills.

Well the hills would need to come down anyways and the stand is only 20 years old , hardly a major land mass and you would have though been surveyed before

this is hull city council we are on about, they probably only have trainee ones to keep costs down

no wonder the council need a survey! as if they can fit an RL training ground, health centre and 1,100 student school on the site! unless the players are to train on the 'playground' whilst the kids have their break and the old folk sit and wait for the doctor? Madness.

even bigger joke is the millions wasted on Endeavor. Clearly no thought about the long-term requirements or demand for school places went into building that school.
