I can see where the OP is coming from, but if there are any people who feel like that, they won't be holding their hands up on this thread
England for me of course. I've not seen us win a series in my lifetime. I'm going to the game on Saturday and I'm optimistic.
I know what the guy meant earlier in the thread when he said he wouldn't be jumping for joy if Fox scored. There's definately a culture amongst RL fans, where pride in your club and bias towards your club becomes apparent when watching the national team.
For instance, if Tommy Briscoe scored the winning try I'd be loving it more than I would be if Fox scored it. It's not that I wouldn;t be happy if Fox scored it, because I would, just if Tommy scored it I'd feel the additional sense of pride that he's a player from my club.
It's alot different to football, where club bias completely takes a backseat.
