Quote Mrs Barista="Mrs Barista"We will have more quality in the squad and hopefully better luck with injuries.
However, there is no evidence to suggest we will have a detailed gameplan for each game, nor that Agar will get every player playing to their full potential, nor that he will deliver a team whose quality exceeds the sum of its parts. A great example of this was the post match press conference vs Quins where he said something like "We didn't give them too much - just said to them "If you see it, play it"." If I were head coach of what should be a top 4 club, I'd expect to be providing a bit more insight, leadership and direction than something that sounds like a Roy Walker catchphrase. Although having said that, it was more effective than the previous 4 months worth of preparation.'"
Just about sums it up for me, after seeing the team since Agar took control I have seen little if anything to suggest things will change greatly under his stewardship (can't say leadership as I honestly don't believe there is any from him) apart from the players brought in.
I hope he does indeed prove many of us wrong but sadly feel he will not. He should have been gone this season, for many reasons, waiting again next season will just be another wasted season.
The first two games should tel us if he has learnt anything from his mistakes this season and found out what a diffence a game plan and tactics would make to a game.
For me he failed in just about every aspect and seems out of his depth, like I say its up to him to prove us wrong and nothing but a strong positive and convincing start will be acceptable.
