Tony
Thorman
G Horne
Moa
One of Radford/Tickle
King
Retain:
Thackray
Lee
Whiting
Maloney
Possible:
Hodgson (I've not seen much of Hodgson so I really don't know what potential etc he has)

| My players to be released if they are to be replaced with top quality are
Thorman
Radford
Horne G
King
Cusack
I couldn't comment on Halll, Maloney and Moa as they appear to out of favour with the coaching staff, and don't get to play that often.

| Quote Jake the Peg="Jake the Peg"Lots of talk about agar clearing out the deadwood at the end of the season but are the deadwood? Suppose it depends how you define deadwood
The players off contract are:
Byrne - already gone but hardly deadwood
Thackray - possible deadwood but probably our best prop over the last month or two
Cusack - similar to byrne, not spectacular but deadwood?
lee - not the greatest player in the world but bags of effort and improving
whiting - one of the most consistent performers in the team but would he be a starter if we're at full strength?
Hodgson - surely can't be described as deadwood
Tony - one of our best players last season before his injury IMO
thorman - dead as wood can be but only been here a season so can't really be considered as fundamental to the problems at the club
g horne - averageness personified
maloney - looks a good prospect. SHould have had more gametime IMO
moa - waste of an improt slot
So the ones off contract can hardly be described as deadwood IMO. Unless by deadwood they mean players who are just average in which case tehre are some but not enough to fundamentally change things around unless they use the spare cap from this season to get rid of the likes of dowes, king and radford'" Dont think Thacks will be too bothered,to be honest he as more than one club who will definatley take him on in superleague.Noticed something about Thacks, never seems to get injured and thats why other teams will want him.But we always seem to let players go what want to play for us,nevermind are loss someone elsies gain

Yet when we signed him (1st time round) people moaned because he was "injury prone" (2 broken arms in a year at Cas IIRC).

Thats one of the reasons id keep him for another year, although he blows hot and cold, he is 99% of the time available
