I dont know too much about them, but from what I can tell, HISA gave up far too easily after the club decided not to recognise them. When that happened, they should have made sure they were too big to be ignored. For example, if they were still around now and functioning properly, alot of their members could disagree with the Friday switch. They could go to the club with this and if the club didnt listen, go to the media, kick up a big fuss, get themselves noticed and be the voice of the fans, or at least their many members. Imo, HISA should have turned into a protest type of group. Members pay a very small annual fee and when issues arrive, big ones they can all get together and kick up a fuss. End of the day, the club won't want unhappy fans (believe it or not, you wouldnt think so after recent events), and won't want them tarnishing the clubs reputation in the media

Just to throw my 2 pence in, so called representative/consultative bodies like HISA and FCVoices are pretty toothless anyway and i also actually believe that all of their members will not share the same view on the Friday night issue/change. One person going in public and saying its not a good thing and upsets their members isnt a view that should be classed as representative of their members although i guess it will be.

What I meant was if alot, most of or all of its members disagreed with the Friday night switch then HISA could kick up a fuss. Also it could hold meetings about these issues when they arise and take votes, discuss how to act etc etc

I understand that, doesnt matter if they do though. My point about them being toothless was that they cant influence the club one bit if the club have made their mind up like they have. Would be pointless anyway.

The only reason the club liase with fc voices is to make people think they have an input and a say into what goes on, when in reality they'll do whatever suits them best,end of story and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded,imo of course.

Thats pretty much what i was trying to say. Same as most Trade Unions nowadays and like most internatl representative consultative bodies, all toothless.

Thats all of FC Voices then...............these groups arent worth a w@nk....the club will do what they like in the end,no matter how many times they say but we are the voice of the fans.

Thats not what FC Voices are about. They arent there to try and give fans some sort of influence or a say in what goes on. They are a communications body. They take concerns of the fans and present them to the club, and its then upto the club to respond. From my experience of been involved with the group in the past, most of the time, the club do respond. Sometimes they did feed the same lines on the same issues. But at the end of the day, FC Voices has improved the communications between club and fans. How much they have improved it, well thats for people to decide, but I don't feel it can be denied that it has improved

I dont think they can influence the club directly, I don't think any club can have a body that does unless they have a massive supporter base like most Premiership football clubs, and some of the bigger lower league clubs. But they can have an indirect influence. For example, the club wouldnt like alot of negative press about them, caused by upset fans. The only way to get rid of that would be to please the disgruntled fans

The group is there to put the fans concerns across. If the fans didnt know about Friday night games, how can they have put their concerns to the group, thus allowing the group to put those concerns to the club? End of the day, groups like FC Voices are only as succesful as the fans make them. If no fan uses the group, the group becomes useless. If lots of fans use the group, then they become more helpful

End of the day Louis...i dont think either group are much cop and have said it constantly...we can argue til we go back to sunday rugby...
