| Quote: Sheldon "With up grades to Crooks, Lineham, Shaul and others and with us signing Paea, Feka, Thompson and maybe Biggs how much do you think we've got left?
Do you honestly believe Galea was on 100k? Tickle, Briscoe, Lynch and O'meley will leave us with a little but only for some project from the WC.'"
I've no idea what the young lads increase is but if the signings of Paea, Feka and Thompson leaves us with very little left on the cap then we really do pay over the odds for mediocrity.

Wtf are you talking about? You said you're going to walk away. I said you don't go.
I never claimed I go! The fact I've put Sydney as my location gives it away.
You then asked me how I know all about the club. I said I don't (and never claimed to btw) but I watch the games. suggesting that's how and why I can pass comments about the games.

I've no idea but in the tweet list Baxter replied to someone asking that specific point.
Which do you think is the most likely ? Radford accepting the job based upon having absolutely no involvement whatsoever in who plays for him or the Baxter clarification that he will be heavily involved ?

As I listened to it and read Baxters comments it wasn't, to me, a true representation of what was been said.
Alot of ccoaches don't have a say in recruitment nowadays.

| Quote: AirlieBird82 "I don't think it will be as simple as Tony signing players and Radford having to work with them. There's bound to be some communication between the pair so that they're on the same page about the type of players the club wants. I think it's more likely that when it comes to the intricacies of making the actual signings (negotiations and contracts) that Tony will deal with all that and Radders won't be involved.'"
This is exactly what's confusing me. If this is the case Why have Hull got an ex RL player doing the contracts and not a man with business acumen. I know at Rovers Sandercock identifies the players he wants and then it's up to the CEO I.E Mike Smith to get the player across the line. I'd have thought Hull would be doing the same, So for the same process you'd have Radford identifying players and discussing this with Tony but that's far from what was mentioned in the press conference.

To be honest I have not heard the press conference I just read what was in Baxters post and just wanted to clarify just what involvement Radford had with Tony over signings.

Was quoted by Pearson not Radders, maybe not the best adjectives to use but I guess it will mean that players can expect the hairdryer treatment if they don't perform, rather than the Gentle laid back approach, worked for Fergie......

They haven't set out a lot of it in detail either. It surely makes sense that the arrangement will be what several have now set out.
I can't imagine the scenario Airlie Street mentioned (players etc. turn up to training and there's a new face there) would happen. If it does, we're in more of a mess than we thought.

It seemed pretty clear, I might not be hearing it as intended.
That scenario does happen though.

Maybe they feel that an ex-RL player (and one that has played for the club at that) will be able to sell the club to a player better than a businessman can? That's not meant as a dig at how Rovers operate as I think that way works too. Just theorizing. I wouldn't be surprised if AP is involved with contracts somewhere in all this and he has business acumen.

Maybe Tony will have better contacts across the world of RL than Pearson might have on his own. Maybe Tony will be the point of call for the endless agents that call clubs up touting their players. Maybe KR can't afford an extra rugby guy in the organisation so the Chief Executive there has to double up on that. I don't know any of this but Pearson has maintained the same structure as before in that respect.

The problem with that is that some will flourish and in fact need bawling out as it makes them play better others will go in their shell if they receive the same treatment and they react better to the arm on the shoulder approach.

AP might want to pursue other business ideas as well.
Not sure, but if we didn't guess this forum would be .
