If we hvve to play a derby in our new ground before it is fully finished off can we not leave any bricks or random debris within easy reach of any red and white bastads?

People are saying that talk of a 14K stadium is not ambitious enough. I agree. But I think a 14K stadium is more realistic than an 18K stadium as some have suggested. We average around 10K I think and that's probably dropping so where are these extra 8000 fans going to come from? It's not a "build it and they will come" scenario as we're already in a 25K stadium.

The answer is that we'll get those fans back with performances on the pitch improving but that's far from guaranteed. For me it would be better to start off in a stadium with a capacity closer to our average gate and expand if and when there is the demand to do so. The signs will be there for the club as the gates will increase steadily rather than suddenly.

One thing I'm sure we can all agree on here. If we do end up in a new stadium at some point, let's make sure that the word "Boulevard" is in the name somewhere .

If you want to check this out, watch the season review video from 1997, our promotion year. Other then the high profile games that season of Hudds, rovers and Featherstone, the atmosphere is flat.
