Well we obviously see the game different, I saw him getting knocked backwards and sideways all game long but never gave in, I dont particularly think he made great yards forwards but was very solid in defence.

I like Barry Mac commentating, usually says is as he sees it.

Whenever a player reacts like that, something has happened. Doesn't make them right for reacting, but the referee also needs to look at what is the cause.

IMO, Silverwood marked Lauaki's card early and gave Rovers free reign to do whatever they liked to him. That goes completely against the impartiality a referee is required to show. He made his decisions from that point on based upon who was involved and not what had happened.

He was like Blakey from on the buses. "I`m watching you Butler."

I have no beef with the dobbins' tactics of roughing Hame up; for me, it's part of the game, just like them slotting Long after he had passed the ball on every possible occasion. If it was on Morgan's instructions, well done to him as he identified a weakness and preyed upon it; the ensuing tantrums and penalties given away being his team's reward.

Hame has so much to offer and needs to respond to rough treatment in the right way by smashing someone in the the tackle or running over the top of them.

I agree with those who have commented about the referee's partiality towards Hame; some of his comments were unacceptable.

A blatant elbow smash in the face whilst your laid on the floor or Newton opening a cut on your face with his head is more than just roughing someone up

Not to mention Vella flying into the tackle as 5th man in to try and break Lauaki's neck in the 2nd half.

I always find it a quirk of the English language when somebody says "Not to mention............", then goes ahead and does it.
