Kosh, I think you have misunderstood me.

I think that a 15 month custodial sentence is inappropriate, or harsh even, not the fact he has been sentence in the first place.

Also, my response was directed at the phrase, "Deserves everything he gets", not at this particular case. I find it a very strange thing for somebody to say, as it seems to imply that he deserves "any" punishment, which he clearly doesn't. It's just one of those loose phrases that people use without thinking, hence why I think it belongs in the rag that is the Daily Mail.
