Modern RL is a 17 man game. If you're taking a game seriously, you pick four players on your bench that will come on and contribute to the overall success of the team. You have a game plan that includes when and where you'll utilise your bench players for maximum effect. To say 'we can beat this lot with only 15 men, so I'll put a couple of guys in for a confidence-building run out' is indicative of all that has been wrong with our club for the last several years. Turning up against supposedly poorer opposition and thinking it's going to be so easy that we'll only need 2 subs, then being humiliated on our own ground, is totally unforgiveable.
