I wonder if there had not been a fracas at the weekend and a suspention whetehr Tommy lee would have got a repreive......Nah I doubt it!'"
Fair enough. Just always looks a right miserable git on the pitch, which is maybe not surprising when he's playing with injections, out of position behind a beaten pack. Hopefully some more players of his status coming in will cheer him up.

There are too many people on here who push their own agendas when young players are mentioned and try to make out as though everything is down to money and that once they are released that is it, which is not the case at all as Hull help the released players find Championship sides should they want to play at that level.
Then you have the fans who view results as important when talking about the Academy and Reserve grade sides which is madness as results dont mean anything as at that stage its all about player development.

And yet the press release states he's Hulls reserve hooker and is joining as 2nd choice to Ben Fisher as Daniel Fitzhenry is leaving

Good post. Good luck to this lad in his quest in SL. Maybe he'll make it maybe he wont - nobody knows yet for sure. He wouldn't have got much of a game in the next two years at Hull who have two excellent hookers in the first team squad. Sometimes it's just how things work out.
People always seem to be looking for agendas or yet another way to bash individuals or the club as a whole. Josh Hodgson moving to another club doesn't make or break Hull FC. It's not really a big deal in the overall picture. We have some great youngsters coming through - thankfully some good backs. Again when they step up some will make it some may not. What matters to Hull FC is that the business side of things continues to grow as it has been even in difficult times, and crucially the squad is improved year on year and the coaching likewise. That means a turnover of players and quite possibly coaches. I think the squad will be stronger next year than this. That is an improvement. The coach is on borrowed time and will have to deliver quickly or ship out. As poor as we have been I think things are moving in the right direction and this young player leaving the club doesn't alter that in any way.

| I cant believe how most people are reacting cos we have lost our (4th) choice hooker . The kids only shown glimpses of potential in the reserves for god sake . i remember when tommy lee was playing reserves and he was the next big thing and look at him now . Id be more worried if it was one of our other youngsters like houghton briscoes or even hall . If hed gone anywhere apart from rovers no one would be that bothered .

Excellent post. The coach is the pivotal figure at any club, though, and unfortunately is the weakest link for us. I would love to believe the combination of fewer injuries and an improved quality of squad will be enough to turn us into Top 4 contenders again, but just don't see the evidence to suggest this will be the case.
Hodgson leaving is a bit of a shoulder-shrug/so what? for me as he wasn't a first team player here. The question remains who will cover Houghton at the start of the season when Berro is still in post-op rehab though.

If Berrigan is'nt fit for the start of next season then i can see Tansey sharing the hooking role with Houghton and Whiting stepping in at full back.
