Nope, just asssuming. Some people have mentioned Deacon, Robinson as possible transfer targets but how often do you see people pay a transer fee for people in Rugby league? Also, Deacon has being poor this year.

No one will have left their club and come to us for just a one year deal. If we sign a TOP SH for next year then I don't think the Thorman signing will have being such a bad one.

The only player I'd say would be worth paying a transfer fee for would be a top SH to come in this season. Since they're rare as hens teeth in SL I find it hard to believe that any club would be willing to release one. We might have more luck in the NRL, but the visa clearance would scupper any chance of a player coming in before next year.

I agree with your general point, but I just don't think it's practical for the one position where we are desperate enough to make it worthwhile.

That is the most disappointing thing, we haven't lost a game yet where we were genuinely outplayed by a better team, we've just been abjectly useless in the extreme!

Wire, Cas, Rovers, Quins, Wakefield have all only narrowly beaten us, and with just a slightly better performance we'd have picked up 2 points in most of those games.
