And there were plenty on here saying how amazing Seymour was, and how rubbish Horne was. Fact is Horne has been the least of our problems the last few years, yet he seems to be the biggest scapegoat at the club. Give me 13 Richard Hornes over the last 10 years, and we would be much better than we are now.
Horne deserves his place in the side, preferably at one, but he deserves it. |

If a player was released from his contract say now , he wouldnt be able to play for another team this season would he ? (due to the dead line passing last friday )

Hornes been one of the main reasons we've been how we've been over the last few seasons . The bloke is simply not a good enough half back for a team that wishes to win things . |

We have been largely carrying our expensive aussie playmakers.
We should have put Horne at 1 ages ago with no worries. I also think over the last 4 seasons, Horne has probably been in the top 5 performers per match on a regular basis. He has never ever took games by the scruff of the neck. He does what he does, and IMO, does a above average job, still. |

Absolute idiocy. Richard Horne is one of the most overrated players ever to pull on the great jersey. He is one of the main reasons why we haven't pushed on to silverware consistently. He is not a half-back in a winning team. We needed to put sentimentality aside years ago and stop offering him new contracts. |

We've been missing a creative 7 for years, and a fullback. Not Hornes fault. The expectation is that HOrne would win every game on his own. The fact he is a good player still aludes people, as they watch the game through blinkered eyes rather than seeing the actual reality. |
