He seems a great guy. Genuine and full of enthusiasm, can't wait to watch him get stuck in.

Sorry Steve Norton, just seen your post. I can remember Terry being a terrific tackler, and I know he was substituted on occasions with concussion, but he was always back the next week for us.
Think Casey was the coach, that’s quite a while back now.

| Yeh Casey was coach and got sacked during Terry Regan's tenure at the Club. Great player under a crap coach. Remember those games when we were beaten by Halifax after the 0-0 draw and subsequent replay in that epic Cup semi final. The man was a machine. He played 25 games for us but what a memory, the bloke was an absolute tank and as hard as nails, he didn't know the meaning of the word injuries and just played on every time. What a great memory!

Didn’t we have another Australian half flown back for that replay Wilf, the late Scotty Gale.

| Brooks and Regan must have been the toughest second row combination we’ve had.
Remember being gutted after the Halifax semis. In hindsight I’m glad we didn’t face that Wigan team on a big Wembley pitch.

Its funny what you remember when you get old(er) I immediately remembered that Regan got man off the match in the first game but in the replay could only remember that after he has grabbed a drop goal and penalty the Fc Faithful sang, "He's fat he's Round he's worth a million pounds, Gary Pearce, Gary Pearce" before we lost 4-3 to a flukey Halifax try near the end.

Was heartbreaking at the time that lucky try (was it Gary Anderson?)
Have a memory of the first game that we were setting it up for a drop goal near the end, but Regan ran the ball in instead. Didn’t get another chance after that.
Scotty Gale coming back for the game as well.
All these memories and disappointments made Gaz Ellis lifting that Cup aloft in 2016 all the more euphoric!

It sure did and yes it was Anderson. But, what great time to be an FC fan though as we went from witnessing the best ending to a game we probably ever saw at the Boulevard the week before against Wigan, to such a disappointing loss in the cup (but then on to glory again0 . I just dug this out about the replay
[i" Pearce suddenly found himself in front of the sticks with space and time for the drop goal which would have forced extra time. As we all bayed for one point, he feigned to kick, but then inexplicably passed the ball to Scott Gale. Scott dummied and passed onto Eastwood, who was tackled inches short of the whitewash and the glory! All it still needed was a drop goal and we were set for it, as Pearce went into the ‘pocket’ behind the attacking line. As the 25,000 crowd held its breath, and before Eastwood had time to play the ball, the hooter went and it was over". [/i
Great times eh?? That truly unbelievable win over Wigan, two goes at getting to Wembley and then just two days later after the tragedy at Headingley we had to win at Craven Park on Good Friday to avoid relegation and we did 21-14. As the fans carried them off the field on their shoulders at Craven Park the reign of Tony dean and Keth Hepworth as Coaches was a short one, but boy it was exciting.
