No I think you are quite correct that he isnt as fast as he once was however he has not lost that much and his kick chase is still exemplary , and as shown in the quins game his will to work hard for the team is undoubtedly in the top three in the team!!
He has a few years left!!

No-one is claiming that Calderwood is anywhere near his try scoring form of 2005. His move to Wigan was a poor one in retrospect.

He suffered with a lack of service last season but his effort and enthusiasm stood out amongst his team-mates. That is why he is held in high regard by Hull fans. Hopefully Longy when he is back on the pitch can get him amongst the tries.

They don't lie, as such, they just provide a very narrow, compartmentalised summary of difficult to define inconsistencies, as far as rugby league goes. i.e. they aren't much use in this context.
