Like Cusack as a player and he was one of our best forwards until his injury.........also Dowes has dropped off since Cusack was injured as Agar is running him into the ground with long stints...you can add Tickle to that as well..wont be everyones cup of tea but we havent got a god given right to have the best........

I must admit first thoughts are Im totally underwhelmed, while accepting his attributes I'm sure we should have got a prop offering a little more go forward than Cusack if we are to use a quota spot here, but hes signed so I'll give him my support I would hope hes used in rotation with Dowes to give us the option of utilising 1 prop with a bit of explosion to him.

Listening to Rule on radio earlier a caller said we need a big powerful prop , centre and a full back which we all nearly agree on . But Rule said thats what Lauaki was bought as so does that mean no props coming in ? If so another long season expected i think !!!

My thoughts exactly. Would like to know if his re-signing means someone will be released from their contract next year.

I also gathered from Rule's response that Lauaki is the only prop coming in and don't expect a full back as Tansey will be playing there.

You can't have a whole pack of powerhouses who can bend the line but only play in short bursts. Dowes and Cusack are fine if played alongside a tackle buster and not together. If we get Luaki here and keep Thacks on (presuming we don't get anyone else) with Maloney and Moa as back up, that is a decent and well balanced set of props imo.

You can't honestly believe that pack will dominate any other pack in super league, it's ordinary which ever way you look at it. Those players have been consistantly outplayed by almost all they have come up against, they aren't good enough by any stretch of the imagination. Stop deluding yourself.
