That's one reason why I won't be buying a season pass but there are a couple of others and if it were anyone else quoting me, I would probably elaborate further but seeing as it's you, I really can't be ar$ed.

What a coach who came over here unknown to many and inherited a very good Saints team, went back to Aus and got the sack because he did not get on with the players. Yeah that's logical.

Yeah.
Or the guy who has taken two different teams to NRL grand finals as well as doing all this:
In August 2006, St Helens won the Rugby League Challenge Cup after beating Huddersfield Giants 42–12 at Twickenham in the final. The club then went on to win the 2006 Grand Final.
In December 2006, Anderson was rewarded for St Helens' dominance throughout the season when he won the BBC Coach of the Year Award. This was the first time a rugby league coach had received the award. He was also named Super League's coach of the year in 2006 and again in 2007.
In February 2007, Anderson won the World Club Challenge with St Helens, defeating Australian champions, the Brisbane Broncos.
He then went on to coach St Helens to win the 2007 Challenge Cup final, defeating the Catalans Dragons 30–8 at the new Wembley Stadium.
St Helens made it to the 2007 Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford against the Leeds Rhinos, but they lost 33–6.
In August 2008 Anderson won the Rugby League Challenge Cup with St Helens for a third successive year beating Hull FC 28–16 at Wembley Stadium.

More logical than appointing a coach who was sacked back in aus as our DOR and one who has never been deemed right to appoint as an NRL head coach.

Think the only reason they've brought mcrae in is because of AP's lack of RL knowledge. Think we need both at the minute
Anyway, do we know that Anderson is available? (with Howes )

I think the clue is in the answer ST HELENS.
Fook me Peter Sharps granny would have won everthing with that Saints team.
My point was that he has won nothing since Saints.

Again clue is in your answer DOR, not coach.
Are you also forgetting that under our current DOR we played some of our most exciting rugby in recent years even if his nick-name was minibus.

The point is he is appointed as DOR not coach, so are you saying he has no experience in the game here in SL or in Aus NRL?
Are we also saying he has not had success here in SL as a coach?
Lets be thankfull we do not have a cock in charge of Hull as our near neighbours have and just give these guys a chance.
I think the appointments are good and should, repeat should, set us in good stead and experience far more than the previous regime.

I hope you're right but the last time we appointed an assistant coach who had no experience of being a head coach at the top level it didn't quite work out. I'm also unsure why you believe that rovers appointing a coach with no head coach experience is any different to us doing the same
As for mcrae, I'm not saying he wasn't a decent appointment (and advocated him coming in as a DOR many months before pearson even took over), but my point was that I'd rather have spent more on a proven coach than having 2 positions which at the majority of clubs would be covered purely by a head coach (albeit our owner's lack of experience in the game probably drove the need for a rugby person to be brought in). Having said all of that, getting rid of rule and flatman would have made the financial savings but I doubt an experienced coach would have wanted a DOR in situ

I don't, just making a play on the words for rovers coach.
I Agree on second point but I think it will be a good move, let's face it can't it get much worse? I hope not.
I think the club is laying good foundations again with positive strides forward and a will to achieve far better than we have done recently and something we have all cried out for, success. (well better than eighth anyway ha ha)

We do not know if he is or is not at this stage imo....Early days though and hopefully he is not!
