| You're getting a 32 year old Andy Lynch and we're getting Walker.
Keep going.

pitts
arundell
crookes
Johnson
galea
thompson
How many average utility back up players do we need?
Next season we already have about 6 back row options with pearson telling us we're signing another one and 2 full backs, 3 centres and 3 wingers so where exactly is he going to play? Pointless signing

That won't go down well on here Everyone else is binning off dead wood and making top class NRL signings, surely?

I wouldn't call Arundel average, he's been good when he got a chance this season especially once he'd stopped trying to tackle everyone round the shoulders. Pitts is a good player too, and will get better.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

It's a fine line. Do you blow your salary cap on 15-17 top quality individuals and hope you have no major injury concerns throughout the season or have a good squad of 25??
Leeds and Saints both had massive injury problems this season and had to rely on the kids coming through to fill the gaps and they both finished above us!!

Utter joke signing IMO - cannot even get in the Cas side on a regular basis this season and not one Cas fan will be that bothered to see him go.

| Thompson is a good player with some improvement I think. However he is similar to what we already have and I'm not sure he is what we need right now. We do need young players with potential but we also need some quality and size and JT doesn't bring that.
I won't slag the lad as I think he's a decent player, the problem is we need better than that if we are to realise AP's ambition.
Paea is a quality signing, JT is an average one. Biggs could be a good signing but the prop and back row need to be top quality otherwise it's another season of being an also ran.

I agree, just before both injuries I think Arundel was playing very well.

He's played 24 games. Seems to be a pretty regular basis to me.

| You only have to read threads like this to realize why our top talent always move on and why top players won't sign for us.
Not saying you have to be happy with the signing, but give him chance he hasn't even had a training session. The kid must now be wondering why he wanted to sign for a club like this in the first place.
Pathetic support.

| I do wonder if people think we can just buy a place in the top four (or even top 6) when the other teams are trying to strenghen too (and chuck Salfords cash into the equation too)? Maybe the unpopular answer is to recruit "good" young talent and bring some through. Maybe it does mean you sit on the fringes of the playoffs for a couple more years but break in that way not that I suspect that would go down well. I can well remember Leeds trying to buy a title years ago and it took a major shift in direction I guess to bring youth through and payed off very well in the end. Just a thought.
