His team selection is baffling, his tactics are mind-numbingly simple, he has no motivational skills, he admits he can't manage the interchanges, not a single player has improved under his leadership and he thinks completion rates are overrated ffs. He's proven he is incapable of doing his job and therefore he has to go.
It won't solve everything, but we will never get anywhere with him in charge.'"
I agree but we won't get anywhere with half this playing roster still here too.

I don't quite see what it is you're saying then, are you worried that if Agar does go then it will lead to the other problems we have getting brushed under the carpet?

If Agar was to go and we brought in what on paper is a better coach, we still won't be much better off. Sure a better coach will make them defend better and have an ounce of idea in attack but we'd still only get into the play offs. We wouldn't win anything because to be simple, half the playing squad ain't good enough, despite who is coaching them.
Players like Richard Horne who have being coached under 5/6 coaches and still nobody can teach him a way to undo a defence. Infact I think he once gave an inside pass a few seasons ago which we scored off and he's constantley just done that. Although he does have a good short kicking game.
Theres just far too many average in the squad, forwards who can't break tackles, penalty machines like Tickle and people who can't catch a cold like G Horne.

I agree with all of that, the answer is getting better players in AND a coach who knows what he's doing. The better players are coming, it's just the coaching situation that needs sorting out.

All fair points. No doubt the players are not as good as we have built them up to be or they think they are. I think that the board know it and want Agar to sort it. He wants to sort it I'm sure but he has proved to be absolutely incapable of managing these players during the process of change. He is absolutely cleary unequivocally not bright enough to do what is not an easy job. We need someone who is. Agar is making it worse.

Exactly, some people seem to think that because Agar has identified a major problem that he automatically deserves the opportunity to sort it. The problem with this is that Agar is as much a part of our downfall, if not more, as the players. We will never get anywhere with him in charge, better players or not.

I'm just pointing out that even if we did get a top coach we'd probably be only alittle better off, by this I mean scraping into the play offs.
We need better players at the end of the day.'"
and I think everyone agrees that the squad isn't top4 material, no matter who coaches them.
but i'd be happy if we were sitting 6th-8th, if I had confidence in our ability to turn it on for big games and do well in the playoffs. Under Kear for example we were very inconsistent, but we had faith that a 'big' performance could occur and he would lift players games for big ties.
Instead I'm actually glad we've missed the playoffs, as we'd only get embarrassed.

Yep and it would buy Agar more time. It's sad to say but I'm actually going in to games now hoping we lose, because every defeat is a step closer to Agar getting the boot.
