The Independant says: Today the east, which contains the biggest council estate in Europe, is poor, a place of high unemployment and low expectation. The west, which has the city centre and the university, is posh and prosperous. In the Nineties when both teams were not doing well, and the obvious thing to the money men was a merger, the response from both sides was the same: "We're black, we're white, we'll never merge with shite".: |

| complete joke how the rfl can catagorise the elbow in the same bracket as Yeaman's reaction... if someone deliberately stuck an elbow in my face, I'd be a tad annoyed too.

Yes, Yeaman struck Joel Tomkins three times before the sending off. Sam Tomkins came in and hit Yeaman after Yeaman had hit Joel (same incident)
If Ganson had done his job and sin binned Joel and Yeaman, the second incident would never have happened.

of course not, but by the same token, if tomkins hadnt of decided to raise his elbow into yeamans face then the incident would never of happened either, he has to be responsible for his own actions

| So if someone hits a Tomkins, the other is allowed to steam in and stick up for his brother?
The sooner someone puts them both in their place, the better

I posted this in July last year comparing Joel Tompkins disciplinary record with Tickle's. I was saying then that he got away with murder and he continues just the same. Everyone knows what he is but a blind eye is turned both in games , at the game review panel and at Red hall. More than likely he'll get not guilty again and they'll take his exemplorary record into account!!
www.therfl.co.uk/about/disciplin ... rch=search
See above link for Tompkins record since 01/01/09. 15 appearances and no bans!
Below is Tickle's
www.therfl.co.uk/about/disciplin ... rch=search
The offences were at least as bad as each other and in my view Tompkins late challenge was cynical and dangerous
Ridiculous..........as expected.
The Tompkins one in this case was when he hit Myler late just after he'd scored. He had loads of time to pull out but went in with his knees , RFL panel didn't have enough evidence though despite it being on Sky.

Isn't that the same RFL panel that gave the same reason for not charging O'Loughlin after he planted is foot in a Quins players chest (while they were both standing) once?

| Quote: Neil HFC "Oddly enough everyone sees that aside from wigan fans. He's a great player, but really needs to cut the petulant side of things down,.'"
Would happily place money on him never having the balls to go try Australia out for size as Burgess/Ellis have done and Morley before them, big fish syndrome as far as I can see. He has a bucket load of talent, that is plain for all to see, but I think he would be a far better player with just a touch of humility.
