We have a habit of produceing very good players but not developing them at international level.....we need to go and get a Aussie coach for national team...simple as.

Got to agree there. The problem with England is we only have about five top quality players. The rest are average to good at best.

Disagree. Thought we were the better team until their dodgy call for the try. After that they had plenty more lucky calls. Errors crept in for us in 2nd half but we were in it til the key turning point in the game.

tell me what the point would be in rebranding as great britain as it woundt change the team at all, keep to individual countries and play as great britain once every 2-3 years playing in a ashes series against the aussies.

Exactly, there's no need for the clubs to develop the players further. We make players good enough for SL and that's it, until the competition gets better we'll go nowhere internationally.
IMO we need more of our players going to Oz, but not many will. They'd rather stay here and have glittering careers in a sub-standard league than go test themselves against the best in the world. I've got a lot of respect for players like Morley, Ellis & Burgess giving it a go.

Is Tom Briscoe always this poor? He was at fault for 2 tries today and has no work rate whatsoever. He needs to get involved far more and actually do something because he may as well have not been on the pitch today. I always thought that he was a promising young player but he was very poor today and last week.

Too many over the hill, or never even got to the top of the hill, over seas players in the British Game. Too many poor coaches from under 6's through to teh pro game. Too much emphasis on kids winning instead of developing skills. It's just like the English football team

No I am from Hull, born there played for hull FC, I work in Jersey. I just have the opinion that win or lose England should have English players and staff
