| Quote: Diablo1967 "Cas struggled against a very bad Rovers side and beat the team who could only score 2 tries on Sunday and are the most likely to drop down a division. '"
You'll never see a game in which "conditions were the leveler" applies more. Seriously...crap boggy pitch and heavy winds really dragged Cas down to KRs level.
No Lynch & Massey that game and then losing Shenton early messed the sub rotations up didn't help either.
Quote: Diablo1967 "No Carney this year, no Shenton, Sneyd or Finn. I think we will win this quite easily.'"
Monaghan is better than Carney in defence, Finn is garbage and hardly played the second half of last season (and are you really suggesting Ben Roberts isn't as good as Liam Finn?) and Cas haven't had Sneyd for well over a year (not to mention Gale is better) so I don't get your points there...at all.
Quote: Diablo1967 "Ben Crooks is a dreadful defender close to the line. His saving grace during his SHORT tenure in the first team was Lineham. Once Lineham got his injuries, Crooks was found out and was dropped very quickly. Just bomb the hell out of him.'"
Bombing Crooks means kicking it down Monaghan's side of the pitch, if Crooks can be isolated then sure that does sound like a good plan but kicks aren't going to be 100% accurate every time.
Personally...think there will be no more than 10 points in it either way. It might even come down to who Hicks lets spoil the game at the PTB more.

| We beat them twice at the kc last year with a weaker team so no reason to doubt we can win this if we're up for it. Won't be easy but it would be very disappointing if we lose this one

It's Hull's to lose I think with home advantage. If it were at wheldon road I'd probably have Hull slight favourites with us having more speccies there than cas

You said a few weeks ago that we'd finish 7th or 8th and it would be very difficult to finish above Cas. Not sure why this is now seen as a gimme tbh in that context?

I don't think any fan has said that about Cas, the most I have seen is a fan suggesting we will win by 18, considering we won by more than that in the cup last year, with a much worst side, is there prediction that unrealistic?
I think it will be close as I don't see much on paper between the two sides, think form and being at home will see us through just

WHY DON'T THE DOBBINS PLAY IN GREEN SHIRT, GREEN SHORTS AND GREEN SOCKS IN ORDER TO EXPRESS THEIR INFINITE ENVY OF EVERYTHING BLACK AND WHITE??:icons42da_files/5424-2890lipst1ck_d0rk-msnicons.jpg |

| The Cas side that we will face tomorrow will be far stronger than the one that turned up at Craven Palace.
If nothing else. they now have Lynch, Millington and Massey in the team which didn't happen against the poor Dobbins.

I'm not surprised you don't understand but in simple terms we beat them twice at home last season with a worse squad so every reason to believe we will win tomorrow. Although we beat them twice at home last season we still finished below them. With your quote library maybe you can point to where I've said the 2 points are a "gimme" or is that another thing you've made up?

Cas had at least 7 injured for the cup game, right? Not sure how relevant that is tbh. And obviously we're already 2 points better than for the same games last year, so to finish 8th maybe we might drop points in games we won last year and try and win some others like Wakefield away.

Maybe, or maybe they'll exceed my expectations and finish higher. Who knows and there is a long way to go so don;t get too giddy just yet. saints and the frenchies looking poor at this stage so maybe they'll drop out of the reckoning for the top 4 which will obviously provide opportunities for another club to challenge. There are so many factors involved even I can;t be right all of the time
