Now whilst blind devotion to FC was OK once upon a time this the twenty first century the world has moved on. No longer can sporting clubs rely on there fans blindly turning up week in week out and being served up a product that is not entertainment.

Do not be fooled anymore, this club is a business and the current owners have for a while abused there positions. They have used the fans as cash cows and in recent years they have been serving up a poor substitute, passing it off as the real deal. I can understand fans supporting the club we love to the hilt, the truth is its no longer the club we grew up with. Indeed the whole game has changed beyond belief and still old loyalties tug at the heart. I heard a supporter a few weeks ago slag off this message board for having a go about HIS club, he thought it a disgrace that anyone would criticise HIS club.

Its a firking business knubskull, like Marks and Sparks, Brit Gas or ASDA and unless they give satisfaction then we move to another business and FC should be viewed the same.

Earlier in the season, in response to the same question, I wrote:

Already decided I won't be renewing mine. I paid a total of £740 this year for 2 adult and 2 student passes. We live in West Yorkshire, so every game is an away game for us. Travel across to Hull costs another £250 or so per season. Been season pass holders for years, and never begrudged a single penny spent following Hull FC. Until this season. Not enjoying it anymore. No progress. Depressed at the thought that those owning / running the club don't support it and have no passion for it (i.e. it's just a business, with profit the only motive). For what it's costing me to endure 13 home games, we could have a bloody good 14 day holiday, and be guaranteed to enjoy every minute of it. Next season I'll pay on the day, rather than hand over a hard-earned lump of cash four months in advance of the season to the muppets running our club. Then if things haven't changed, I can vote with my feet.
