Reading the piece in the paper it sounds as though Gentle possibly sees this job as a very long term one and will not feel it is complete until he see's the young players reach a standard to make the senior team.

The guy hasn't just come here to coach the first team but build a club and leave a legacy. After being a little underwhelmed with some of signings he made during last season and those signings doing a solid and professional job for me proved the guy knows his stuff.

Could this be where Prince comes in, plays 2 years first choice, reduced terms 3rd year and becomes player coach looking after the halfs...... staying longer term.

If Horne makes 10 apps per season for the next 2 then retires and becomes involved in a club representative role then id take that.

Great idea, but I would also love to see national schools set up, that specialise in every aspect of our game.

Hope to see him retained within the club for many years to come, but wouldn't want him teaching the 'Kicking Game' session at Half Back School.

I have never read such a load of rubbish in my life , typical Australian Bull Sxxt and you lot have fell for it. If Gentle is so clever why did he not improve Horne And Seymour they are both experienced half backs. His short kicking game is good. Should never had the responsibility for long kicking when it clearly has never been his fortay.

Agree his short kicking game is OK, his long kicking has often been unimaginative and usually is caught by the Full Back or Winger on the full. That said, we have never had anyone else fit in recent years (Long/Dykes were better), to take on this responsibility, so I'm not trying to be harsh on RH as a player.

Hopefully, we'll have better options next season. I hope so, because this is a key area were an improvement will result in us winning more games.
