Back off in what way? There is not much more to be said on here and it's all meaningless.
If you mean the booing and chanting Agar out then that may well have an effect.

| It's not so much if we win, it's how we win and has the coach and the team suddenly had an epiphany and implement what they are supposedly doing so well in training

| Think you know what my opinion will be on Monday. I wont even give credit if we put in a good performance, because they don't deserve it. Like someone mentioned they will be fired up after last week, however they should not need a booing and chanting from the crowd to get up for a game.
I will be there but I may just as easily stay in the pub come kick off time, that is how interested I am in the rugby at the moment.

| Think everyone's aware that Wigan, Crusaders and to a certain extent Hudds only masked the underlying problem for a short while.
That said, if we win it can only take the pressure off thereby dragging out this sorry affair even longer and doing more long-term damage to the club.
Think people are a lot more cynical and have had their eyes well and opened (even with matchsticks on Friday) this year, though. Surely...

I've never wavered in my opinion of agar's coaching abilities. He should never have been given the job IMO, but there are plenty on here who swing between wanting him to stay and wanting him to go.
Given that most now want rid, would a win on Sunday appease you? Would a run of 3 or 4 wins make you realise he really is a great coach again? Or is it now firm in your mind that he needs to go?
I can see a much improved performance and a win on Sunday but it doesn't get rid of the flaws for me'"
Like you I was against the appointment from the start. A win on Sunday will not change my opinion.
Whilst he is in charge we will pick up wins of course, even the occasional impressive win like Saints away last year, but these will be outnumbered by poor results and unacceptable performances which have been far too frequent over the last three years.

I personaly think majority of the fans have made there mind up now and will be staying away till things change in whatever way,the boos and chants will carry on in my eyes and things will turn nasty as they did on friday'"
I don't say it lightly, but if it's the only way of getting change, then I stand by it. Some may say I'm not a "true" supporter, but the time & money I've spent on Hull FC since 1979 tells a different story. Like I say, I've had my fill of the style of rugby & the patronising spin over the last 3 years. We pay top dollar for an inferior product. Some teams are greater than the sum of it's parts, but Hull are the total opposite.
To be really truthful, I'm past caring if we lose by 70 points, or win by 2. Any interest I had has been ground out of me by Agar's team selection, interchanges, dour rugby, etc, etc, etc.
Going to matches is now a chore & not a pleasure.

We'll pick up wins, but the evidence tells us we won't be picking up any impressive wins this season.
We have played the top 5 teams on 30 occasions with Agar in charge and won only 5 times. Of those five wins, only one has come outside the first month of the season (Saints at home last season).

I suppose my opinion, like most people on here, is that he (Agar) has had his chance's to show 'us' his coaching abilities and to put it mildly he's failed!
He lacks;- ability to motivate the team or even individuals, opposition gameplans, interchange nous/common sense etc etc etc
At the start of the 'Agar out' campaign I honestly felt sorry for him and refused to criticise him overtly. I am now so fed up by the absolute drivel we've had to endure during his tenure that I want him tarred and feathered, hung drawn and quartered and fed to a pack of wolves. Grrrr

| People say that they would never want us to lose a game but surely if we get one or two scrappy wins, this is only going to prolong the stay of Agar, thus leading to many more drab defeats and the odd ground out win against lower league teams.
The moral of this story is that by not wanting us to lose, you are in fact accepting many more losses in future months. Short term sacrifice for long term gain

| If we win on Sunday, it won't change my opinion, he isn't cut out for the job, nice as he is!
However, if we win 4/5/6 in a row then I think that I may begin to change my mind, especially if we get a couple of decent performances in that run.

| At the start of the season I was willing to gove him a chance, to prove that he can coach and learn from his past mistakes, this season has shown that he hasn't and he has made too many coaching errors, I also think he recruited poorly in the off season this year.
Now it would take a massive change in his coaching style to pull be back from the "Agar out" camp.
It is a tough decison this weekend, as I always want Hull to win, but a win will help keep Agar in the job longer.

The Man with a van . eating the hairy pie: |
|
| Look at us all on here , wondering if we are going to go down to London and scrape a win . A team with the following that Hull has should be taking a massive away support down there expecting a very very comfortable win .But we have gone so far backwards it is unbelievable . We struggle against the lower teams in the division and can every one guess why , we are one of the weakest teams in the division the league table does not lie .
It is time for Richard to leave and leave now. He may well be a really really nice guy but he is not at this moment a super league coach . keep him as a number 2 I do not know .But what I do know is we should be approaching these games thinking cricket score . I will carry on going but some thing is not right
