If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...: |

I am sure they will seek top medical help for the seriouness of these injuries. However because of the type of injury there may be a period of time before it is clear what exactly is needed. Maybe hoping the body can naturally heal to an extent before surgery is required?
Either way I really hope Agar and Sharp are not sat in their office deciding if they should or not by the toss of a coin.

I think it was his knee because on sky when we played Rovers it was pointed out that his knee strapping was restrictive.

Im in the thinking htat any player playing with injections shouldnt play for prolonged periods. A cortisone for a cup final i would agree with, but not a full campaign'"
A dislocation normally leaves the joint weaker and more prone to further dislocations. And every time a dislocation happens, it gets weaker. Repeated dislocations have been known to finish a career, as eventually the joint becomes so weak that it can pop out under no pressure at all. Operations can sometimes help, but over time the joint just gives out.
And hasn't Berro already had a shoulder reconstruction shortly before he joined us?

The medical advice may well be to wait a bit before making a decision. Or it may be ambivalent. All operations are a balance of risk and benefit after all.
If they've been told that an operation might help but has only a small chance of success, they (and the player) may be weighing up other options.

Seem to remember something about a shoulder problem a few years back and did he also not have some surgery in the last off season???
Either way its a big blow to him and could potentially ruin his upcoming off season.

| I'm pretty sure Berrigan had a very serious shoulder injury early in his career at the Broncos, I believe he's had major problems since then. At the Bradford game early this season, it looked like he had suffered a bad injury then - I believe that was his shoulder.

| While I can see why players play through the pain barrier if they have knocks, it really suprises me when clubs in any sports continue playing players when they need surgery, and delay it until the end of the season. Its something we seem to do alot and is part of the reason why we get more injuries than we should.

He had an op just before signing for us which i believe has reduced his movement by 20% or so in the effected shoulder.
