| Quote Dave K.="Dave K."I thought Reynolds did ok tonight, caused a few problems with his running game, on his own though, Wynne looks like Shaul, good running game, but doesn't have the link up play like other FB'S.'"
If we put as much effort into our defence as we do in altercations with opposing players that would be a good start
As has been mentioned we cant rely on one link player when fit.
for me Sneyd is a big problem and slows our attack down and Houghton seems to have lost interest again and needs to be replaced.
Shaul is the obvious choice here when fit because tonight we saw exaclty how a quick acting half turned the game for Leeds
We still need some pace into this team and questions need to be asked about the coaches bench selection once again

| No Connor no attack.
We rolled Leeds down the pitch fairly easy tonight, had loads of good ball and did nothing with it.
Put Dwyer in our team and he'd make a world of difference.
Bowden and Houghton are done. BH doesn't seem all that confident in JJ either.
Hooker and a forward are on the wish list.

| As much as we miss Connor I think we probably miss Griffin as much. Big strike player for us and very consistent. In no way an excuse, just an observation.

Agree. I think we are at that point now where a few players haven't impressed Hodgson and could get moved on. Johnstone is just OK, offers nothing different and hasn't improved us.
With Houghton I'm concerned it could just be too many miles on the clock now, he's been going what 14 years? With insane tackling stats in most of those. He shouldn't be doing 80mins, needs to be spelled.

| Effort there but that's it . Easy to blame Sneyd but where's all the runners for him. Leeds run at us in waves we just run sidewards. Bench was poor. Maybe to shake it up a bit start Bowden who seems to play better when starting not that he could do any worse. Also start JJ. That way with Satae Houghton Brown on the bench we have some zip and go forward. Not all is lost and we don't know how much if any the covid is taking effect. Big job to get into top 6. We need Connor Taylor Shaul savellio back soon

We need to be careful on the hooker replacement too. Roby ain't gunna last forever, if I was an overseas player I know which club I'd be looking at.
Houghton looks burnt out, I'd be tempted to release Ma'u and look in Aus for a hooker for 22.

| Think Dwyer showed tonight what a good hooker can do, he changed the whole game when he came on.Think we have to think about a change and recruit somebody who can get the team going forward. Think Danny has had his best years now and Johnson seems just too static

| To be honest I think Dwyer is a poor player overall but his energy tonight when came on for Leeds and the pace he injected in to them certainly turned the game in their favour. We just seem content to play Houghton for 80 mins and have a bench that half is unused until it’s too late and then seemingly no logic to it

No runners for Sneyd?? I've said before, they know he can't put them into gaps, and he plays too far from the line. He has to go for me, as does Houghton. Our attack has been stale for a while and we rely on Connor or Albert Kelly magic and the 2 consistent players in our poor attack are Houghton and Sneyd

| All those repeat sets in the first half but there was nothing other than bish bash and then give it to Sneyd for a diagonal kick. I thought Radford had copyright on those tactics but apparently not..
I agree that Connor might have made a big difference. He has individual brilliance which can't be coached and can turn a game. Without him Sneyd doesn't seem half as effective. Good example the brilliant 40/20 in the second half. Might as well have not bothered because the excellent opportunity quickly and deflatingly petered out into nothing.
Wynne was poor and will certainly cop a ban for his variation on a hand off - the elbow off. Reynolds will get a ban for his head butt although he was quite anonymous tonight as he has been all season so you won't miss him.
Houghton and Johnstone are possibly the worst No. 9 options in Super League. You saw how much better the Leeds duo were and I'll add that Parcell and Litten have been great for Rovers. In the modern game you need quality at No. 9.
Mahe Fonua was a liability and proof of the theory that it's never as good second time around. He'll be enjoying his marquee money though.
Those big strong forwards looked absolutely crackered in the second half but the Leeds middles who had defended so well in the first half just got stronger and stronger.
Nobody on here has given any credit to Leeds and that is quite wrong. They are shoe ins for the play offs it's just a matter of which of the Hull clubs drop out of the 6 to make way for them.
It may well be Rovers....and it might not be.......but if it's you lot what a waste of the biggest spend in the history of your club.
