One thing thats really annoying me this year is we are STILL unable to defend from a penalty. TWICE again yesterday, Saints scored in the first set after we conceded a penalty. This is not good and needs addressing. Are we switching off? Are we not able to reset the defence? I dunno what the answer is.

The second one seemed to be a bit lazy. Carlos was calling players over as saints clearly had the overlap, but no one went across. Fortunately we did enough though! |

Our last ditch second phase defence looked miles better I thought, but we're still generally poor when defending off our line. Definitely needs work.

Without knowing any facts, its hard to comment. Of all the teams to be involved in an incident such as what is rumoured, Wigan is the least suprising.
Any Way, back to what's important. Win against Widnes & we're mathematically guaranteed top 8 for another year, that's achievment number 1 done. Saints/Wire on Thursday, historically a Saints banker, but I'll be hoping for a Wire win, so we could potentially go 8 points clear of 5th.

then you play catalan which wont be easy either, they could easily pip us both to top place at the split
if we have 6-8 point gap over the team in 5th i'll be delighted, thats a big advantage trying to keep in the top 4 |
