| Good to see that my opinion isn't required.
I subscribed to the Grapevine ages ago, but haven't received the emails for a while. Trying to complete the survey, I find that you need the Grapevine email, so try to re-register. My email address is "already on the system" so they'll email me an activation code to restart it all (that was an hour ago and still nothing).
Ar$e and elbow spring to mind, and will be reflected in my survey answers, if I'm ever able to complete the thing.

That and the fact it is open till the 5th of September, although those arriving after yesterday obviously do not matter.

Only an hour ago, I re re re registered with the grapevine a week back and have had knackall from them.
For some reason my previous acount there stopped getting grapevine messages a couple of years back, but is still apparently on the system.
When I tried to get the activation code for my old email the system at FC's end) spat is dummy out, threw an error message my way and refused to have anything more to do with me.

| Done mine and had my say on the club, lack of ambition and need for a change of coaches accross the board.

When you consider it is still high holiday season it becomes very apparent it is just a PR exercise....had the last board made a decision before 5th Sept they would be slated....

| "We had planned on waiting until September 5 and the end of the survey date before making any decision, but I feel we have the support to press ahead with this decision now. I've heard all the arguments for Friday night rugby, but gates are dropping and in my personal opinion that is down to three factors. Success on the pitch, price and Friday nights. We are going to look at all three areas, but this is the first one we are going to address."
The price issue will be dealt with in coming weeks with Pearson saying a small reduction is likely.
I reckon he knows what he is doing and knows what he is going to do. If we become more successful and he does drop the price then the gates will raise no matter what day we play on.

So if he had decided on changing to Sundays all along why the pretence of asking what the fans think?
I for one would be interested to know how many fans prefer Friday and how many said Sunday.

I think it can safely be implied from the fact that the decision was announced a week before the closing date for the survey.

How's that then? It maybe the fact that the club know exactly how many surveys they have sent out and have now received the vast majority back meaning they can announce this now as the ones they are still waiting to get back won't overturn a majority that have been returned asking for Sunday rugby.
Fact is Pearson is in a now win situation with this as he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't as there are winners and losers with this issue the same as when it was changed from Sundays to Fridays.

Or it could be for the reason stated - i.e. there was a large enough response already to make it clear which way the wind was blowing. Neither option has any better evidence than the other.

A point I've been trying to make on a couple of threads to no avail. For some reason the conspiracy theory seems to be more attractive.

If you read the comments on this site the preferences seem to be fairly evenly split. I don't detect a massive groundswell in support of Sundays.
Its a bit like stopping counting the votes part way through a general election count because one party was miles ahead. Sorry but it just seems wrong to me.

What makes you think that the comments on here are in any way representative of the feelings of the majority of FC fans or even the respondents to the survey?
As it happens, candidates and Prime Ministers have conceded elections based on exactly that principle before now.
