Well the first step is to ditch using the name HISA (which has already been suggested).

I'm an Arsenal fan (for my sins) and often visit the Emerites...well 6 or 7 times a year. I always go into one of the local pubs their and the supports association always have something on the go...their name is Red Action....and on plenty of occassions they have 'challenged' the club on certain issues. They are still recognised by the club and have many past players coming along on event nights etc.

And to put something into the club. They'll be far more receptive to a new group if they are raising money for youth development/sponsorship etc, than if they're there solely as a pressure group.

Exactly. If we can have a positive influence on the club in terms of raising money they are more likely to listen to our members when they have something to say, IMO of course.

Very true, I've had a few dealings with the Wakey ISA at work. They work alongside the club even though they are independant. Someone said that our club is getting a siege mentality, well if this is true all they will do is close ranks if the proposed new group go in all gung ho.

Quite. It's easy to dismiss a 'fun day' as trivial, but if it raises a grand towards something useful, then its worthwhile and generates early positive publicity that the group will need if it is to succeed.

Charity work (for the Steve Prescott fund, for example) is a must too. The more useful the group seems, the more clout it has when it comes to having a say.

Ok i think i understand. We need to establish ourselves and the relationship with the club before moving on to more, shall we say, vital points. Is that correct?
