| Quote: Dave K. "Dominated the full 80 and once our attack clicked after our lucky try we looked very good, Sneyd, Pryce and rankin linked very well.
They scored two lucky try's, one shouldn't have counted though, we lost three players through injury and had a man sin binned.
Two points for me,
I think we looked better without Westerman, I think we maybe had two many pivots and too much goes through him.
Seb Taia, is the best backrower is SL.'"
I felt sorry for him, he had a really good game and individually didn't deserve to be on the wrong end of that result.

As I have said I am happy to get said win, any win, but I still didn't see much to suggest we're headed for the top 8.'"
I thought he still looked fairly lame, but then he did break quite well on one occasion. Wasn't moving comfortably, though.

| Quote: bonaire "We were still clueless first 20 mins ball in hand in their 20.Once the confidence kicked in only one team in it.
Sneyd the big difference tonight for me.like Pryce took the ball to the line and created some space.
If we are going to be short on forwards next week id push Yeaman into the second row and play Logan as we need some pace at left centre.
A good centre and Talanoa would be a leading try scorer.
What do we do with Rankin as his is too good to leave out.'"
Speaking of him, how quick did he look to force that dropout? Think that's the fastest I've seen him move, great stuff.

| first 15-20 minutes we looked clueless, we needed a bit of luck and got it as we probably wouldn't have gone in 22-10.
first try gave us confidence to step up and throw the ball around more
still making brain farts though, we should never had let the last try in the first half half
as for bentham, probably the worst referee we have now roby has gone! 2 catalan tries gift wrapped from phil

Quite agree about Bentham and this is not sour grapes because we won. He really is awful.

I'm not sure now - there were so many to choose from.
Think this was when our player (Houghton?) was taken out off the ball and Bentham let Cats score a try instead of blowing up.

That was the worst one, even more annoying he penalised us for doing it moments later, even if it was the correct call

The only thing I wasn't sure about with the Houghton one was whether he'd adjudged Houghton to already knock before the contact (if it's the incident I'm thinking of).

Maybe. But given the apalling hash he made of just about every aspect of the game I'm not inclined to give him the BoD.

| I know people don't like to give credit to Yeaman but I was pleased to see him pass the ball to his winger. He was so surprised that he fell over. Who says you can't teach an old dog the basics? Well done to the coaching staff and Kirk, keep it up.

| Quote: hull2524 "Good win. Some on here are just never ever happy.'"
The truth is there are some on here who are not happy simply because we won and were hoping for a defeat to fuel the Radford out. The top line is we won and for most the game we dominated. There were some improved performances from many and without doubt Pryce has answered all his critics. Sneyd his best game yet but could have been better if not for two glaring mistakes. Houghton who i think has really come in for some harsh criticism had a stormer but for me he very rarely lets us down. Yet again Yeaman gets flack and for what? He defended really well has he always does and made telling passes. If you expect to see a game were nobody makes a mistakes then I have watched for over 50yrs and still waiting for that to happen. When any side play as poor like we did in the second half against Leeds then they deserve all the flack. Last night we saw a great effort from the lads against a very physical Catalan side with no help from the ref and for me it it showed the players and staff have the determination and skill to produce wins. Dont get me wrong one swallow does not make a summer but it helps.

| Good win last night. Bit of a stuttering first 20 but the Catalans defence was well organised on their line and there was a bit of a lack of confidence on our part. Not many SL teams rollover within 20 mins of the start of a game and we stuck at it despite their initial score. Thought the halves worked their way into the game and as Dave K said they look much better when working as a pair rather than glued to one side of the pitch or the other. Sneyd's kicking game was well up at the required standard as well which was a big improvement. The attacking shape improved as we went along and we moved the ball at pace most of the time. We still have a deep and static (almost ponderous) ball shift in us which needs to be eradicated. Biggest worry will now be the quality of the team we can muster against Cas.
As for the referee he'll want to forget that game. He and his 'team' missed countless offside players when Catalans kicked in the second half. He failed to police the ruck correctly and ignored goal line offside players. Not really a good enough performance for a SL referee.

| We won a very ugly match last night, The Cats at times where brutal and I expect a raft of charges come Monday. We dominated the match and should have had it put to bed by halftime. We gifted them points and failed so many time to add precious points when we had them rocking, we simply lacked punch in attack for long periods another kick into the corner it is then. I do know Radders was not too impressed last night with the overall performance and we play like we did in the first twenty against most teams and we will find our selves well behind the 8 ball. I am not knocking them last night in patches they did try and put things together, it was two points after all. But we can find oursleves back at the bottom by this time on Sunday and that is the point its going to be a long long season.
Most of us are honest we will end up at the bottom end of the division as climbing out of the hole is a hard task, not impossible but with the continuing injuries we alone seem to get week on week. Last nights game asked more questions then it answered, but happy with the two points and praying that this can be the catalyst to help us kick on.

| Highlights are up on the Catalans YouTube channel.
Solid first 20, got through our work and completed at 100%. Then we injected some pace in to our game and scored some lovely tries. How on earth the 3rd Catalans try was allowed to stand I'll never know, although Rankins pass to Lineham for his second looked 'suspect'.
I was more than happy to see Sneyd try something after the hooter in the 1st half, we bemoan a lack of adventure from our team all the time and if they can't do it at 22-6 up when can they? We attempt that another 100 times we don't concede from it, it was just bad luck.
All our forwards did well & Jordan Thompson's pace really does give us something through the middle. Nice to see Watts & Thompson trying to run down Escare for his try, never going to catch him in a month of Sunday's, but great to see the effort. Michaels pace at centre showed again why we need something similar on the left side.
All in all a decent win and good to see a pair of halves working together, plenty to work at but plenty to build on.
