“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club. Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you. "Rugby League is a simple game played by simple people. Rugby Union is a complex game played by wankers." L.Daley 2005:

We look a good team but we are missing the X factor in the halves that the Aussies and Kiwis have.'"

Widdop has it but he can't do it all........and the have coaches who know what they are doing...we have a imbicile.

As stupid as Graham looked, I love the passion he shows when playing for his country.

Probably been listening too much to the massive hype he's been receiving in Oz.

Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Doesn't Work Hard:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_12933.jpeg

Playing Ferres at hooker was a shocker of a decision, the guys not international standard at backrow never mind hooker. Sarginson stepped up massively in this tournament and Widdop finally got the opportunity to show what he can do in a Englabd shirt. I bet McNamara wished Ellis hadn't retired because he is still the best English 2nd rower.

He went with ferres because he wanted someone to do a short spell at hooker then cover 2nd row interchange but it was a stupid decision and we suffered when clarke was off the field. We badly missed roby or mcilorum, either of which would have been much better interchanging with clarke.

The decision to play joel tomkins at all was also a shocker.

Overall though we've pushed oz and nz close in successive weeks on their own grounds so have to be reasonably happy with that. The increasing number of our players in the NRL undoubtedly having and effect as did australia's "injury" problems. We desperately need to start producing quality half backs in this country though

IMO-the better team lost today and only losing on missed conversions how is that the coaches fault?

Agreed, still best second rower in SL bar none.
We got the benefit of him with his preseason and retirement from international duty this season.
Anybody who doesn't see how he virtually held us together singlehandedly at times this year needs to start paying more attention.
Shame we haven't offensively seen more of him hitting the line that much b'cos in the glimpses we do it's an awesome sight.

Team selection during his tenure and the reluctance to introduce players when it's plain to see they aren't upto scratch

Disappointed with the result but no complaints about the performance. We showed today that we can compete at this level and but for the posts on the first kicks we'd have won.

Clark was good and we suffered when he was spelled. Not sure what J Tomkins offers and Whitehead surely should have played more. Smith did ok but didn't control the game as he should have (or as Widdop tried to)

Promising signs though and although we lost there were a lot of positives.

Come on Samoa!

Team just needs fine tuning,we have a massive and mobile pack but could do with a wide running 2nd rower to bust tackles as Ferris isn't international class and Joel Tomkins plays because of his club.Roby and Clarke are 2 superb hookers. For me the problem lies at 7 as Smith isn't that good.......who comes in..Widdop to 7 and Ratchford at 6....Tomkins at 7 and Widdop 6 with Hardaker at fb...we are ok for wingers and il correct myself on Sarginson..he has looked at home but Watkins defence is awful.Think a better coach will take us to the next level as this generation could do something.
