Kite was a pipe dream in my opinion, and I cant really see anyone else available that stands out too much so a one year deal for Cusack dosnt seem a bad move, people seem to be happy with the signing of Fitzgibbon this is a similar move, the thought of a mass clearout was nice but unrealistic, we need at least 3 seasons to build a competative side again.

Cusack was fine this season up to the injury. His re-signing can only really be judged in the context of the full set of forwards for next season, and we don't yet know who will be released, or for that matter added, yet.

Interesting point on the quota and who counts or doesn't. Reckon we still have 2 quota spots left?

all we now need is to give lee another contract and then loan out Houghton and wow what a team we will have next season,

I hope we have got him on reduced terms, and then it'd be a decent renewal.

Most people have being saying get rid of him so surprised
to see that people are pleased to see him sign for another year.
Personally feel we could do alot better with the quota spot .

TBF I think this is down to their being little else out there. He is a good player and the pick of our pack for me.. If we can get one more decent prop then I think our pack will be much better.

Like Cusack as a player and he was one of our best forwards until his injury.........also Dowes has dropped off since Cusack was injured as Agar is running him into the ground with long stints...you can add Tickle to that as well..wont be everyones cup of tea but we havent got a god given right to have the best........

I must admit first thoughts are Im totally underwhelmed, while accepting his attributes I'm sure we should have got a prop offering a little more go forward than Cusack if we are to use a quota spot here, but hes signed so I'll give him my support I would hope hes used in rotation with Dowes to give us the option of utilising 1 prop with a bit of explosion to him.
