Quote: PAUL M "Did you have a point by any chance?'"

I did indeed. Everyone has an opinion and is quite rightly allowed one. Just seems to me that some people base there arguments against the club/players/performances without actually attending games.

I have no moral high ground to stand and i don't like the position we find ourselves in anymore than anyone else. Fortunately/unfortunately i can get to all the games and can make an unbalanced judgement as good as the next fan, but it's based on observation and i don't spend ALL my time on here whininging about it.

BTW TV games are easy to comment on though that wasn't the point.

Read the post again. You have other reasons not to go, therefor it's not aimed at you.

I appreciate the effort it took to reply though.

Quote: westjba "yeah but we wasnt brought up in workington or bramley was we??? look mate, you may be ok with whats going on at the club, and yeah we know youv seen bad times before, but can you tell me, when have Hull FC ever had it so good off the pitch ie-merchandise, pass sales, regular gates of 13,000+ grade A licence??? they havent, us supporters are getting s*it on, by the board, players and them 2 numptys who couldnt come up with a game plan, if they played 1 game a month, so forgive us if we seem a tad p*ssed off, we should have kicked on from 2005, but did we? 91' when we won the premiership, and we went downhill from there, wasnt as depressing as what it is now, the club was in sh*t street, we had to let players go, now we should be a top 2 team, not scrapping around at the bottom, now if i came from Worky or Bramley, i wouldnt expect much would i? so please dont tell me it aint bad!

You're right, everyone has the right to express their opinion, that is regardless of being at the game, listening on radio or being at the game.

There will always be some who just whinge and some who are more balanced, that what makes a forum.

Quote: TrevLovesJanice "You take the rough with the smooth. It is what life is about.

Some of the young cyber warriors on here need to realise this isn't some PS3 game !

I've seen FC a lot better (obviously). However I've also seen them worse.

If every RL fan shared the "not worth going" attitude then no team outside the top 6 would have any fans would they ???

THINK ABOUT IT.
Then grow up.'"

To be fair TLJ, I had loads of fun going away to Whitehaven and Workington and watching a poor team lose plenty of games. Even then though, the rugby was not as dour a product as it is now. We used to play some interesting stuff, we always had at least two heroes to hold in high regard and camaraderie between the fans that actually followed us back then was immense. It was in fact my happiest times as a fan in this period.

I know the new fans that have started supporting us since we've been successful can be annoying with their expectations of glory but it's not about us losing, it's HOW we're losing. Paying £23 to sit in the sterile KC is a hefty blow in itself, but to pay that to sit through the dirge we're currently being served up takes the biscuit.

So again, it's down to attending rather than seeing. If everyone is allowed an opinion, why have you started a thread pretty much saying that everyone that didn't go to the game should be quiet? You're either majorly back-tracking on your original point (because it was a stupid point) or you're contradicting yourself

No, you're instead just spending all your time on here whinging about whingers before they've had to whinge about something you're saying they aren't allowed to whinge about, despite saying that everyone is allowed an opinion. You don't have a point, you just have an issue.

So why start a thread about attending games if it's OK to watch on TV and comment too, which I would probably think most people on this forum would have done.

Just admit it, you think your opinion means more because you attend more games. That's your real point, and now are backtracking.

I would certainly respect the opinion of someone who goes to all the games over an occasional/armchair fan who likes to bitch a lot on forums.

What if the person who goes to all the games is an idiot and does not
know one end of the field from another ?

What if the person who does not attend all the games is a grade 3 coach and has 30years of rugby experience?

Surely it's all relative and each person should be viewed on their merit.

Where did i say be quiet? The people who have the biggest issue seem to be the ones who rarely attend games and as such have a less informed view of them. Stupid would be not understanding the original post.

Everyone is allowed....thats a forum. And so is whinging at the whingers, as you obviously know.

My opinion is just that, an opinion. But it is formed on facts and not hearsay. Simple really isn't it, view all the facts first hand before commenting? (see original post!)
