Also, if things work out and he stays on, he will provide stability in the halves which we have also not had since PC. If his deal is extended based upon performances, then it is likely that he might end his career at Hull. In some respects, stability is more important than absolute talent. I would rather know that the club had a solid halfback pairing (if this particular pairing were to provide that) for four years to build around, than think that we might sign an Australian star next season who would gives us maybe two seasons. Its just too disruptive to the shape of the team, with all players having to re-adapt to a different style of playmaker every other season.
