| Len Casey was a similar situation in The Derby Yorkshire Cup Final at Headingley. He was bated all first half by FC fans “Casey, Casey, where’s your wife” he lost it big style.

I remember that well. It was the 1982 John Player Final. Famously the Ronnie Wileman final.
Hull fans packed out the South Stand and taunted him with that chant. Casey flipped and gave the 2 fingered salute. Just the reaction we wanted! Rovers fans countered with "Norton, Norton where's your hair."
Happy days.

Yep they look pretty poor so far and don’t quite understand why so many have put them down as being up there. All I can think is because they managed to make the GF rather than anything else. Sezer & Austin are MIA again too
Hope they are as bad next week when we play them.
TBF Warrington look pretty decent so far.

| Warrington looked good last night, but Leeds were abject. Rohan Smith obviously must have something about him, to have steered that team to the GF, last year, but I think he has a hell of a job on his hands, if they are to threaten for honours this year. It is still too early for any meaningful predictions, Vaughan, Warrington's stand out in the forwards, has had a history of letting clubs down, the last one at St George was a covid rule breaking party, for which he was nearly sacked, Dufty also not a renowned clubman, so who knows what will happen there and although Maguire has yet to appear, players, like Connor, will easily bait him into retaliation, if his past is any yardstick. I thought Williams looked very good and they may well make the GF, with that squad, but my money would still be on Saints and Wigan. Looking forward to Cas now, but still cautiously low key about where we will finish come the end of season.

Williams shows his England form last year and likes of dufty in form they'll be the closest to saints imo

| Wires outside backs are still poor. Their pack may decide a lot of their games this season, but I don't think they'll win silverware this year.

I think Saints, Wigan and possibly Huddersfield can at least match them in the forwards and definitely have more quality in the backs. As with all teams, a lot will depend on luck, but Maguire, getting banned preseason, doesn't exactly inspire confidence in him staying out of trouble. Warrington may well win something, I don't see either Hull clubs or the other mid table teams, matching them, but if Wellens can carry on smoothly from Woolfe, then I'd still have them and the Pies in front of them, for silverware.

Ratchford will be a good centre good hands good step and good defensively
Was too slow for a full back
Ashton will be a superstar and future english winger

Far too early to suggest that, yes Warrington played well and were very dominant as they got on the front in the first minute but Leeds were poor with no cohesion at all, infact they looked very similar to when they were coached by Agar.
Was interesting to hear that Wire had been after Clifford.

Agreed I thought their pack was huge and that's without McGuire for the next couple of months. Vaughan looked good but then Leeds didn't have any answer to anything Wire did and were well deserved winners. However the question is can they keep that intensity up throughout the season and remain injury & suspension free.
