| Just saying as I’d seen it, an very happy with the win and 1st half performance considering everything, but think I’m perfectly within my right to also point out what I thought wasn’t great, and our defence for the tries was poor, and was happy we give them very few opportunities within our 10. Not sure why some of you stuck up Override the swear filter and name call again and you can take a break. Karen cant accept anyone else’s opinion apart from your own

That's a litttle hypocritical don't you think?
And please cut out the abusive language, no need.

| Not going to get carried away, but pleased with the effort and application.
The young lads bring enthusiasm and hope they, and others, continue to get a chance.
Always liked Cator since he put himself about against us in a derby a couple of years ago.
Onwards and upwards.

You mention that Hudds bombed chances, which ones. I don't remember any clear cut chances in the 2nd half?
Can't have it both ways.
We would have won much easier had Sneyd stayed on, we missed him when we had a big lead to calm things down.

I'm a Penrith man myself.
Nathan 'tik-tok' Cleary has been sublime this season thus far.
Remember reading yonks ago about a young lad who went to school in and around Sydney with Panthers gear on and was taken the p!ss out of as Penrith are looked down upon as the poor mans team.
Being a sucker for the underdog they've been my team ever since.
I should be a Rovers fan really.
Also think the worst period they endured occurred when they were constantly called "Chocolate Soldiers" by a couple of very popular commentators due to their brown and white strip and easily melting when heat was applied!
First match I saw them play was at Penrith in the debut appearances of Mike Stephenson and Bill Ashurst in the 70's.
Incidentally my brother-in-law contacted me to correct the starting Hull front row I posted in the 2010 St.Helens match. Fitzgibbon was at lock with Dowes at prop. Also remember Radford and Moa on the bench and Turner scoring a try.
Good to see your bet on Hull to win came in. An overnight power failure caused me to miss the first half. From what I saw subsequently was impressed with JJ's game.
Already looking forward to the Warrington match later this week.

| I've given up commenting before and during the game. That way I don't look such a dick (unlike some of the alleged fans on here).

| I asked before the game for effort and for me that was one of the highest efforts I have seen in the last 2 years, pretty much wrote off my most (including me) with the circumstances and form. Was particularly impressed with the spell when Fonua was binned when we really stood up. Thought some of the fringe players in the pack really did well, Cator, Lane and Fash (Who showed his value to the squad). I'm a massive fan of Brown, he should be playing weeks, best prop I've seen in a long time at his age, runs hard, great lines, offloads and can defend, not sure what contract he is on, but I'd be looking at extending it. Johnstone was excellent, again needs to be involved more, I still think there is a place for Houghton in the 17, think this will help him and get his game back on track. My MOTM was Ma'u he was everywhere, best game so far.
Tough game on Friday, hopefully have a couple more players back to keep things fresh and replace injured players.
One thing from yesterday was we looked lost in the 2nd half, Kelly needed to take more control of the game, hopefully Connor will be available next week taking the pressure off him, if not I'd like to see Carlos at 6.
Really enjoyed watching us last night.

Was it that we looked lost or with the lead we had we were playing a sensible game with decent game management? We kept the ball moving but weren’t doing any risky plays. Simply playing out our sets and making sure we had some end product to keep pressure on Huddersfield and in their own half.
Bearing in mind the lack of training and impact on fitness levels combined with the potential to rapidly run out of steam due to the Covid outbreak I thought the 2nd half was played out quite well. Add in we had lost Sneyd and Ratu leaving us short in terms of interchanges and Fonua binned for 10.
I’ve been a big critic of Fonua but he certainly looked more like the player that left Hull yesterday and needs to continue to replicate that.

| Considering all the circumstances we have to be happy with the win. Makes you wonder how many were feeling unwell in the Salford match.

There were at least 10,000 watching who were in need of resuscitation, a response was needed, and we got it
