| Has to be Steve McNamara for me, has the right sort of pedigree, knows the club but will be more distant from the players (son in the academy aside) Would command the respect of the full squad, most realistic option IMO.
Also Catalans squad isn’t too dissimilar from ours so he will have an idea straight away in terms of style of play etc. hopefully if he is one we are keen on we can pry him away - whoever comes in I think needs experience dealing with ‘big name’ players and can manage a dressing room full of egos!

| It’ll be a Watson/Radford transfer; which if I were an FC fan I’d be happy with.

| Radfords style of rugby is from the same sheet noble used at Bradford and Wigan . AP wants to change to a more exciting brand so that should rule out noble ...hopefully.

Noble won't even be on the radar, don't know why he's getting a mention. He hasn't coached for several years, he's moved on.

I'm guessing you weren't in the threeepenny stand when he deliberately kicked the ball at the Hull fans from fairly close range after leaving the club for Bradford Bulls in a similar way to the way Radford ditched his 'home town club' even though we were on the verge of promotion to super league.
The day McNamara is hired is the day i start a 'McNamara Out' thread.
(I don't rate his coaching skills anyway)

| Personally my top 3 would be..
1.Shane Flanagan.
2.Nathan Brown.
3.Ian Watson.
For mine, we need someone who is experienced in man-management,
the attitude and culture needs a total reset...
At this moment in time, an inexperienced Head Coach, or a coach from a lower division would be a massive gamble - IMO

Brown or Watson for me
Will Flanagan be able to coach over here? I know he cant get a top job in the NRL for a few years. The RFL might take a similar stance and uphold his ban.
The other name i've seen thrown about is Barrett, don't know enough about him coaching wise though. It all seemed to go very wrong towards the end of his time at Manly.
I'd look to move Last on too. He's been part of the pally pally culture that has been built.
Promote KP to assistant, reduce Ellis playing time and move him onto the coaching.

| Flanagan will stick around for the St. George’s job.
Not sure about Brown. Would he be what we need?. Not sure he plays the expansive game AP is wanting.
Whatever happens, we need someone from outside the Hull bubble.

| Think Watson would be the one to go out for UK based. He has shown to be very astute and his teams play an open expansive style. If you look at the Salford teams they have mainly consisted of players other teams haven’t wanted. Yet he has managed to get them working together as one with structured play and in the face of major upheaval of playing personal throughout their seasons.
He’s probably the only one I’d go that’s involved in the British game. Flanagan is probably the pick of the bunch in Australia sure there’ll be interest from many.

I'd be looking to move Last on asap, the club needs a new sweep..
Cant see Watson coming imminently, maybe next season, personally I'd stick with Purtill & Ellis, until our main target is more easier to prise away..
until our targets are
