Quote: weaver93 "Phil,

After listening to the interview of Cllr Brady, he seemed to be apprehensive regarding the cost of an injunction served to the Allams.

I hope, I speak for the majority of the citizens of Hull that irrespective of cost, the Council will serve an injunction.

If the Council fail in this matter, the Allam's will see it as carte blanche
to do as they wish, as a Hull FC supporter, it is indeed nervous times.

I back the Council 100%.'"

I think the time for an injunction is probably past. If, as it seems, the Allams are now in clear breach of their lease obligations then there are other avenues to pursue.

What would other avenues be? No idea what options are open. icon_confused.gif

Dont worry, concerts coming back if you read yesterdays Dull Daily Fail.

The new LED floodlighting system thats going in, will offer more flexibility and be able to be adapted for concerts and stuff.

Bet its blinking good for Squash and polo

And all this when city are possibly six games away from relegation. He really is tapped in the head

As a purely tongue in cheek post wouldnt this be a good time to take back the SMC and hand over to the Councils new Private leisure company to run.....With an experienced Commercial Manager there could be some short term pain but surely for long term gain??? There are some seroius cons but also many pros!!!!!

I am 100% sure that the overwhelming majority of HKR fans would offer exactly the same support to HFC that their fans showed HKR in their darkest moments during the bad times.

He should be tapped in the head.

Preferrably a double-tap

I don't actually see this as a Hull FC issue or supporting Hull FC in a time of need. This is a much wider issue that fundamentally affects us all. He is asset stripping the SMC of assets he doesn't own and using them for a company he does own Hull City.
I've never understood the SMC being run by football people from day 1, its not a football asset as its equally not a rugby asset. Its a council 'people of Hull' asset that should be used for the people of Hull.
The fact that FC lease the stadium for there matches is as irrelevant to the argument of our support for them, that says I've become a trampolining fan because I think its wrong to throw them out.

The stadium and its surrounding facilities should be independently run as a business. Rent from City and FC should be independently assessed and set at a figure that allows the stadium to at least wipe its face. If City or FC can't afford that sum then questions around the viability of either the stadium or the clubs gets called into question. Then I as a council tax payer wouldn't want either financially supporting with my money.

The issue being discussed here is not an FC one, (it may become one if a certain megalomaniac makes hos next move) its Hull residents issue as Hull City have taken an asset I could have used and made it for the sole use of an Allam business.

@RadioHumberside: NEWS: Hull CC write to the SMC asking for the removal of the 3G pitch at the #Airco Arena. Failure to comply could result in legal action

Maybe hcc has had enough?

On top of the community clubs that have lost their home;

No more top flight netball being brought to the city either. Yorkshire Jets used to split their home games between Leeds, Sheffield & Hull, attracting a few hundred fans to their games and televised on sky.

There isn't anywhere else in the city suitable to stage their games.
