I quite agree with you there, a much better player. Unless there are some injuries we don't know about another winger hardly seems a need in any case. And if we really do need one then one then this one is a mystery.

Arundel can play on wing. It will not take out his ability to play centre, its not asking him to play at 1,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 or 13. The centre spot and wing spot are related. Coburn may cost us pence but we are already paying Arundel.
If we haven't a young wing who can come in for a few games then our youth scheme must be in dire need of a sort out!

I hope he's not reading these comments. People are entitled to their opinions but he's an FC player now and we should be welcoming him to the club, not saying "I hope he never plays for us".

I was meaning that he's purely a back up player so I hope he doesn't get called on. Are you hoping for some injuries so he gets his chance?

I never wish injuries on anyone but I suspect that we will get some along the way. And my comment wasn't just directed at you (sorry if it came across that way). There just seems to be a lot of negativity on here. People saying we should have signed someone else, asking if it's a joke etc.

He's what I would consider a below average SL player. Do you expect supporter to be falling over with joy at the prospect of seeing him on the wing for us? As I said, he's a back up on peanuts so won't affect the balance of the squad and hopefully we don't need him but on the face of it it's a poor signing

I've lost of count of the times I've had high hopes for my team only to be dashed by a string of long term injuries. This squad looks more capable then ever to absorb injury.
Maybe the starting 13 is not quite as good as previous years and we haven't signed the mandatory big money last payday Aussie but instead gone for the lost and forgotten who have come with points to prove and Colbon definitely fits in with this philosophy.
I Welcome him and the added competition he'll bring but I too hope he never gets a game as this means we're injury free and the lads in front of him are playing well.

I agree with that. I said myself in my first post on this topic that I felt this was a cover signing. But some people have said he's an awful signing, should have signed someone else, we should play players out of position... basically anyone but him. They've written him off before he's even had chance to prove himself for us. I don't agree with that attitude at all.
